I think it just might be this gem. I have many fond memories with bomberman 64 that still bring me happiness 14 years later. Honorable mentions go to everything posted above.

Best memories of N64?

Mario 64. The Christmas season it came out, my sister got one for her husband. I spent the majority of Christmas Day in their bedroom playing Mario 64 playing. I actually got Vertigo for 2 days after that and everything was spinny.

Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time: Got this game right before Thanksgiving, when I had to have my tonsils out. It basically helped me through the pain and that ordeal. Couldn't bring myself to sell the gold cart. Saved it.

The New Tetris. I was a master at this game. I played it for HOURS on end. No other Tetris or clone has given me that much enjoyment. Couldn't trade it in when I sold my N64.

Banjo Kazooie - Probably my most favorite platformer ever. Tooie was good, but the original will always be the best.

Tony Hawks Pro Skater. I know this wasn't the best system to play it on, but man did I enjoy it.

>> No.2004320

Forgot that one. I loved Bomberman too. Stacking bombs and bouncing them to get to hidden areas was so fun, and the multi...too good.

>> No.2004324

Gah nostalgia'ing so hard.

Also Goldeneye. I don't know how I forgot the game I used to host "Bond-Fests" for. We played that more than ANYTHING else on the system in my group of friends.

There are also very few times my family has played a video game together. One such time...was Mario Kart 64 at Christmas one year. Even Dad could handle it. The other time was Rock Band Beatles LOL.

Perfect Dark was good times, but I also loved the original Mario Party and Smash Brothers.

This game doesn't get as much recognition as it deserves.

The Battletanx series was most definitely a multipayer staple at my house. I originally borrowed the original from my cousins for a couple of months, and I eventually went out and bought my own copy of GA.

GA got as much play as Super Smash Bros and Mario Party 2. No lie.

And yeah, that opening theme is great: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n49QueP73Jg

I'm actually playing through Tooie now, just finished BK over the weekend. Tooie is a great game, but I dunno. BK just felt more streamlined and... I want to say "pure," but I don't even know what that would mean. Tooie did some really awesome things, but there's a little too much backtracking for my taste, and the levels are a bit more hit-or miss than BK's.

Would not blame anyone for preferrine Tooie, though.

Eh, yes. We're not kids but we still do local Fifa regularly. 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 (I heard PS4 can only do max 2v2 now which is fucking lame). It's actually a really good series and a lot of fun and the only game grown up normalfags play where I'm at. That shit gets a bit too personal, though, especially 1v1. 2v2 is the sweet spot.

But yeah. Apart from Fifa, we don't do local multiplayer. We're grown ass men though. Kids probably still do local smash and mario kart, why wouldn't they? When one of my best friends from my youth crashed at my place we hooked up my laptop to the HDTV and played some good old Mario Kart 64 tournies almost every single night, 8 tournaments back to back (150CC and Extra). If more of my friends were there from my youth we would have done 4 player definitely. I'm sure kids with WiiU do 4 player local Mario Kart. It would be an absolute sin not to.

Fucking same, it's so warm, though I think now it's because it reminds me of playing it with my dad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uS74ixjy7PA I get all emotional when I hear this track in particular.
