I had Toy Story 2 for the PS1 as a child, it fucking infuriated me.

The boss of the second world was a slime monster that crawled out of a trash can, and if I remember right, only your laser could hurt it.

But if you stopped shooting it too long, it just regenerated. And by "too long" I mean "one fucking second".

I had to borrow a friend's shitty knockoff controller with a turbo feature just to beat that boss.

This was one of my favorite games. It was like Mario 64 with third-person shooter elements. Exploring giant levels as a small toy just felt so amazing.
It was kind of weird at times, though. I still remember the close-up of Woody after you beat the final boss... his face just looked so indefinably wrong.

Had good music, actually had a variety of locations, wasn't all CHRISTMAS WINTER WONDERLAND. Each level had a set of objectives to accomplish, some requiring gadgets you could only get later (by collecting all blueprints and doing a puzzle).

i fucking loved this game. i remember, even as a kid, being surprised by the quality and playing the shit out of it. i think i ended up 100%ing it.

even though it got a lot of hate, i also remember really enjoying "rugrats: the search for reptar." it was a lot of fun, and of course as a 90's kid i loved the show. games like this were a nice complement to the M-rated MGS/RE/etc edgy games i loved on the playstation.

This shit right here.

I never played this game as a kid so I have absolutely no nostalgia attached to it, but it still fucking rocks and is easily one of my top NES games (right underneath Ducktales, but that's a little too obvious for this thread)

It's also hard enough for older gamers to sink their teeth into, so give it a shot.

Blues Brothers for DOS and Amiga is absolutely fantastic platforming game, and it even has co-op! It has all the main locations from the movie, and it also has a kickass soundtrack which includes most of the songs from the movie.
Solid controls, interesting levels, interesting enemies, nice details, and overall really cool game. It's also very challenging, I've been playing this game for over 15 years now and I've made it to the second last level only once.

Stay away from Blues Brothers NES, Blues Brothers Jukebox Adventure (known only as Blues Brothers on SNES), and Blues Brothers 64, because those games suck balls. Stick on this.

I thought Jukebox Adventure was decent. Sure it has little to do with Blues Brothers anymore, and some of the platforming is a bit cramped in COOP; but we still thought it was fun, there is not much wrong with the game even though it's not extraordinary. It's actually very rare to have 2D platformers with coop so it's always welcome.
