Can you even read runes? If you can't read runes I wouldn't even bother. Some games its alright, shit like Megaman where theres virtually no text. But any text heavy RPG? I can't understand it.

One of those is a shooter and the Evangelion one is pretty hard to come by in the box and its a side scrolling fighting style game that never got released stateside.

Picked up a complete of Legend of Mana in great shape, with only minor wear here and there. I suppose I could have gotten it cheaper (lowest I know it to go for where I live is about $30), but that's one game I rarely see out here, especially in the shape it was in, and I also had some store credit from trading in some books I didn't have much room for anymore.

Got a few decent deals. Top end stuff at the places I went though were way, way overpriced. Almost laughably so.

I wouldn't call these steals, exactly, but here are my most recent purchases.

I've been dying to get Illbleed for about a year now, but I could never find it on eBay below $60 in great condition. A week ago, I saw one listed as "mint" for $40. I looked at the photos thoroughly, then made the purchase. And when it arrived, he wasn't lying. It looks brand new. Not a scratch on it.

Metal Gear Solid was $15, and was my first time ever playing a MG game. I beat it yesterday, and it was incredible.

Battle of Olympus was $15, and I just had to get it cause it had the box and manual.
Abadox was $10, Metroid was $20, Blaster Master was $10, and Jet Force Gemini was $10.

Not nearly as good as some flea market / garage sale steals, but, hey, it wasn't too expensive.

Generally cheaper, many games you can play without much modification or without knowing how to read Japanese, arrive in better condition (since Japanese players apparently know how to take care of their shit), and dem boxes, man. The boxart on JP games is often really good, much better than their western counterparts even.

Super Famicom got a lot of good games that never made it to North America, like the Parodius series. Some games like Sonic the Hedgehog also have subtle differences between versions (or games like Sonic CD that had major differences). Plus it's just neat for novelty's sake. I've never imported a game from Japan, but I've gotten things from China before.

Ah man that brings me back. I remember playing this on an emulator years ago. Fuck all that button mashing. The emulator I used fucked up a lot of the game's timing, but I still had a lot of fun.

For the N64 the graphics are pretty sweet too. How much did you pay for that OP? I've been thinking about grabbing a copy myself.

Just started up Alundra, works like a dream. So happy to have a copy of this game, above all the others.

Just picked this fucker up for $20. I can't believe it.

I think I'm done. I don't think I'll ever get that lucky again. This is my favorite fucking game of all time and I nabbed a decent CIB.

I can't think of another great Super Famicom game I can get at such a good deal that is complete with the box, tray and manual.
