So did LJN ever develop a single video game themselves or was every single game "made" by LJN simply developed by outsourced developer like Probe Entertainment or Beam Software and only published by LJN?

What a silly comment. OP KNOWS there's a difference between a publisher and a developer. He's asking if LJN just published games or if they had any development under their belt. Anyone who's paid even the tiniest attention to video games know that many companies have fulfilled both roles.

You didn't even read the OP and just wanted to be snarky, didn't you?

Something retards like AVGN and people taking everything he says as truth will never understand?

Anyway have these guys actually developed anything themselves or is their fame also result of them publishing games developed by others?

It's mostly due to them publishing dragon quest. But they did make a few games - http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/company/75339-enix-corporation?platform=0&year=0&region=0&devpub=1

A lot of people tend to assume that the publisher is in fact the developer for a lot of the games they know and love, simply because of the name.

You would not believe how many people think that XSEED developed the Rune Factory series, and then they hear that the developers for the series is dropping out and they are like "Fucking XSEED, having to go bankrupt or what have you, now we'll never see another game again from them."

Yeah. Working Design fanboys are the worst in this regard.

According to GameFAQs they developed The Uncanny X-Men. And we all know how that one turned out. I really wanted to like that game but it's just so so flawed.
