Geezus, that was THE pinnacle of wretched cash-ins, surpassing even Robocop's cartoon. So yeah...that's my vote. The Street Fighter comics from the 90's definitely were vile...I'd sooner watch the cartoon than read that toilet paper rag.

I remember a 2 page spread that EGM(or was it GamePro?) was doing on the comic series. They teased the first part of the first issue(Sagat seeing his defeat, rage fighting Balrog, and Bison telling both to stop being bitches), and showed some plans for future issues...Chun Li was supposed to fight Blanka at some point(holy shit, how brutal would THAT have been, considering what they did to Ken?), and then there was a draft of a cover showing Honda and...I wanna say Feral Child or somesuch bestial superhero?

Fuck, I really wish I had that issue now, or even remembered whenabouts it was, 'cause it was seriously tripped out, psychedelic idea shit...

Tons of comics from the German version of Nintendo Power, Club Nintendo.

Probably the most insane one was where Mario, Bomberman and Tick Tock try to stop a Heino parody who turns people into regional cuisines through his singing and is later revealed to be Cthulhu, followed by the comic where Peach turns into a cadaver/stone because Wario made a pact with fucking satan and so Mario, Link and Kirby have to stop him by drinking vampire hunter blood and donning edgy as fuck armor.

And here you thought American Kirby was hardcore.

To be brief: Penders got a tad possessive of the original characters he created for the Archie Comics and started suing Archie, Sega and EA for copyright infrigiment of said characters around 2011-2013. Because of this, Archie was forced to reboot the whole Sonic franchise and several characters had to be removed from the storyline.

The Megaman series is really good in my opinion. The first two games are a bit hokey, but I feel the series really starts picking up after MM2 when they slow down the pace just a little bit and start adding new original characters and flesh out some of the more minor ones already introduced. The Super Adventure Rockman arc is probably my favorite, and the Megaman X crossover they're currently doing is being done pretty well.
