Are there any good games that never made it to the NES from the Famicom?

Besides Mother and the real Mario 2, I mean.

Eggerland series, aka adventures of lolo in us/euro.

While first two lolo games has puzzles from japanese-only eggerland games, it still has lots of puzzles that didnt make it to lolo series, and there are some differences, like in lolo you play all levels in same order(linear), while in eggerland its one huge maze and often you have choices where to go between puzzles, and one of them has build-in level editor too.

Also japanese lolo1 and 2(2 and 3 in us/euro) has completely different puzzles too, and they are much harder and tedious when comparing to us/euro version.

I'd say Akumajou Densetsu (Castlevania 3) counts since the US version was fucked with so bad and it has inferior sound to the famicom version

This. The gameplay, graphics, and sound are all drastically better.

Also,

Moai Kun
Chojin Sentai Jetman
Solbrain (the Jap version of Shatterhand, highly different from Shatterhand so I count it as a different game)
Spartan X-2
Splatterhouse Wanpaku Graffiti
Kid Dracula
Fuzzical Fighter
Getsufu Ma Den
Otocky
Ai Senshi Nicol

And if you're into RPGs, the famicom has a tons of good stuff too. Final Fantasy 3 is my favourite, but I heard Chronicle of the Radia War was great.

Also I remember some obscure SHMUP which was quite original because it was a mix between SHMUP and platforming, but I can't remember the name for the life of me.

Also wasn't Adventure Island 4 famicom only?

Cocoron is the tightest shit. It's a Mega Man-esque platformer where you get to build your own character. Highly recommended.
I've had fun with Goonies 1 and Binary Land too. I'd like more good exclusives myself so I'll be monitoring this thread.

It's just Dragon Quest with an original modern day setting, wacky sci-fi plot and good dialogues.
It's a good game actually, for being a Famicom game, the game is pretty good looking, has great audio (not the GBA version) and decent conttols, the only problem may be the randome ocunters, but if you're used to playing contemporary RPGs that isn't a big issue. Also like Dragon Quest, battles end up quickly as long as you're quick to come up with the best possible strategy for each enemy. Just like Dragon Quest.

That is the point, why should people translate games they don't like, when they already do this for free? That and RPG's get translated because they more text and language barrier than games like Goemon which are mostly platformers

Not that anon but...
The famicom version used the VRC6 chip, which was a custom chip by konami that improved graphics and sound capabilities. Nes didn't have it and I know it has to due with the lockout chip and pins but I'm not 100% sure on exactly why it cannot use chips in that capacity. Now, what really blows me away is the VRC7 chip, which almost sounds like it belongs in a 16-bit console. Only game that used it was Lagrange point:
