Donkey Kong. I mean, I just hated the game when it first came out, but it became a franchise later. The thing is though, all throughout highschool, in my little circle, friends always fucking recommended this shit. Challenging others to play DK, wanting to go to the arcade for this game only, refusing to play multiplayer games with me because this was the fucking game on everybodies list. I played it, I always found it extremely over rated. It is very boring, not to say there was much competition in the platforming department, but compared to many other games out at the time, such as Frogger, or Defender, or Galaga, it just didn't seem too fun to me. I agree though that the NES Mario submissions deserve their position on the podium, really good games. But I have never liked arcade Mario, and I was very hesitant to try those Mario submissions until just two years ago because of that shit.

I really don't know. A couple of games come to mind though.

1) Final Fantasy
Though I didn't 'hate' it, I remember seeing my friends playing this bullshit turn-based pile of shit on the PlayStation and I had no idea why anybody would want to play such a humongous pile of shit. I still don't know why anybody would want to play it, and turn-based RPG as a whole. People are retarded I guess.

2) Deus Ex
Oh my god. The most overrated fucking pile of shit ever made. SHIT gameplay, SHITTY drabby looking world, just a stinking pile of fucking shit, period. I HATE games that play like ass. I will never understand why people like this shitfest of a game. It is fucking TERRIBLE.

RPG in general is fucking crap (though there are exceptions like the Souls games; but those are more action orientated anyway with RPG elements). I played Morrowind and hated it as well, for similar reasons described above. Fuck games with ass for gameplay and fuck YOU for playing them. RPG is basically for faggots that suck so hard at life they have to 'roleplay' in video games and use them for escapism. I can't relate to fucking pixelated characters, either. How much of a queer do you have to be to do that? Video games stories are hardly ever good, too, because they're written by retards most of the time (I'm looking at you, Kojima). If I wanted a good story, I'd much rather read a book or watch a good television show/movie.

Yeah, I hate the entire RPG genre in general. It's fucking shit.

I remember hating the halo series and having to get good at it just to spite my stupid friends. I always wanted to play fighting games but no one was even willing to learn how to throw a fireball.

I didn't start hating certain games until about 13 or 14, when I went into my local game store and bought Sims: Bustin Out for GBA (if you haven't played it it's actually a decent little game, completely different from the console version) (also, of course I fucking know GBA is not /vr/ ) but the clerk began fucking grilling me on my taste in games, saying I was fucking retarded for wanting this game 'blah blah blah. Admittedly I had terrible taste, but I was young and enjoyed the fuck out of anything I played. But from that moment on I would only play 'le matsterpiece' games

Fuck Breath of Fire series though, I have a lot of appretiation for it now but my cousin had an obscene SNES library growing up, but would only play that when I went over to visit for the weekend. Didn't wanna play mario, or DKC just wanted to fucking grind for hours on that game. Good game, but I grew to hate it

Back then, I used disliked Metroid. I think, it was just because. To be honest, I don't even really remember any reason I disliked them, because I haven't played any. But a few years ago, I was so bored and played the first four + ZM (since they are the only ones I can emulate without much gameplay stuttering) and grew to love these.
