Never found much outside of some old PC games I wanted at goodwill stores. I have found some great deals at consignment shops, pawn shops and those places that sell stuff auctioned off from private storage areas though (storage outlets). Even found some good deals at antique shops (usually hiding on a shelf somewhere). Also, if you have an old DVD rental place going out of business, they might have some old games if you ask. I was looking around at a mom and pop rental place last year that was closing its doors when I noticed a really rare NES game in a case near the front of the store. I bought it and asked if they had more. The owner went up into his 'attic' storage area and brought down three boxes full of old NES games he used to rent in the early 90s still in the boxes and offered them to me for $100.00. Lucky but still a really good find.

You're lying. Nobody would pay that much. And I'm not even one of those 'Le reseller scum' posters. That is legitimately higher than what you would find on ebay. Double, at least!

You motherfucker, that game goes for a small fortune these days

So I've been thinking about getting rid of some of my old games/systems. How do I make sure they get to a collector and not some filthy reseller?

Four decent Mega Drive games, one more for my NES black box collection, and I didn't know Syndicate for the Jaguar even existed. I'm certainly not going to track down a Jaguar to play it.

Flea Market this morning. Games for the Game Gear are standard fare, X-men, Sonic 1 and 2, Hulk, Power Rangers, etc.

Not pictured is the Game Gear case with the battery pack. Everything cost me $17 and works great.

I also came across the most terrifying resellers I've seen. Any anons in the Connecticut area should avoid the Crystal Mall like the plague. Two shops there with retro games, but all at least $15-20 overpriced. They were selling loose N64 consoles for $75 and Gamecubes for $70, I almost threw up.

They didn't, everything was either overpriced or in really shit condition where I didn't want to risk buying them and probably not work. I also didn't have that much cash either, ended up buying the talking heads - little creatures and the grateful dead (the best of) - skeletons from the closet on cassette and Viva Pinata on PC, but those aren't /vr/
