Since when did kids started using this retarded argument?
No. the game was designed to be played with a pad.
There is no "faster reaction times", be sure to emulate this game using a CRT monitor and not a LCD to avoid any latency.
And get some decent pad to play Castlevania.

I can not even imagine the clusterfuck that must be trying to maneuver Richter in mid-air while throwing a subweapon with a keyboard.

you mean the programmer just mapped the actions to some buttons and called it a day?

>I can not even imagine the clusterfuck that must be trying to maneuver Richter in mid-air while throwing a subweapon with a keyboard.

that's because git gud faggot
you're using more fingers so it's logical that you're gonna have more control and be faster if you just git gud

>you mean the programmer just mapped the actions to some buttons and called it a day?

They programmed the game so that all your actions can be quickly accesed through a d-pad and 2 buttons. Not 4 separate keys on a keyboard.

>git gud

Can you please go back to /v/ already? I beat Rondo of Blood with both Richter and Maria to a 100% completion, never even had trouble with Shaft.

Again, there is no "faster" or "more precision" with a keyboard, it just makes the input mehtod clunkier.

please don't go full retard on me
the gamepad isn't even well designed
and then they programmed it so you have to press select for the special
On the keyboard I mapped it to SHIFT, Z is I and x is II, How the fuck would that make the input clunkier instead of easier?

>using the special

I see you're pretty bad at this game. Anyway, If you're using any other regular pad for the PC, you can select the special to any other button. On the PSP port of Rondo, the special is the triangle button.

And the clusterfuck of using keyboard as a control for an action game like Castlevania doesn't come with the I and II buttons, it's the d-pad. You're using 3 or 4 fingers for something that should only require your thumb. yes, it's a clusterfuc, and don't come with your more "precisions" or "faster" bullshit, you're the one who's having trouble with an easy boss like Shaft, I already beat him ages ago.

Are you even watching how the orbs move before they drop the lightning on you? If not, watch them and adjust Richter's position and movement accordingly. Shaft himself doesn't do much but jump around the place while giving commands to the orbs as I recall, more or less the orbs themselves you need to watch out for.

But...the NES controller borrowed the design from the SNES controller. SNES came out in NA in late 91, the toploader NES didn't come out until late 93.

Did you guys actually have a problem with Dracula or is this a whole "metroid cant crawl" kind of thing? I play on keyboard, this is the easiest boss in all of Rondo of Blood. The spheres pop up right fucking above where the lightning comes down (giving the illusion that it is creating the lighting). Either stand in the middle or walk away from the lighting. Have you guys fucking tried that? Or are you trying to hurt Dracula while encased in the lightning? Whatever you are doing, don't. Wait until after lightning to strike, then wait for him to reappear. This whole boss is just a really boring puzzle, like one of the Mega Man 1 bosses (I forget his name, Yellow Devil?).

>> No.1846619

>>1846612
Oh yeah, I forgot to say that the spheres pop up at least a fucking second before the lightning actually comes down. That is pretty important when I say that you are being a dumbass. The lightning is like five seven pixels wide, you can easily traverse this obstacle in less than a second.

/vr/ has been compromised for awhile now. I wont blame anybody, but things started really going downhill when people started arguing for the Dreamcast, though I agree with what they were saying. That must have brought along company. People were seeing other /vr/ browsers biting the bait, thought it was hilarious, started making statements like "oh well i mean it doesn't matter the ps2 will be /vr/ in a year", or "there have been two or more concurrent threads about x, this belongs in /vg/", oldfags were going fucking nuts. old /b/ wanted a slice of the pie, they are still bombarding us with the most devious, well enough thought out things they could say, ironic shitposting at it's finest. Well now all the shitposting you see is pretty ironic, for the most part, though some are still bitter after the war, and it will only get worse as more and more people find this funny. Eventually, /vr/ will be nothing more than pixel /v/, a haven for ironic shitposting, and moot will welcome it because all the money his ads are giving him from the additional traffic so nothing will be fixed.
