Secret of mana is good if you have friend who wants to play it with you, even better if you have multitap and two friends. Alone i would say it's not worth the price (90e here). Secret of evermore is pretty good too.

I'm not exactly sure on this, but an imported seiken densetsu 3(JP only secret of mana 2) is likely even cheaper than SoM and SoE now a days. It's a wonderful substitution if you don't mind figuring out a little bit of Japanese with friends.

hey how hard is it to buy a working snes online instead? My location in ct is nowhere near any place that sells old games or systems and I'm very untrustful of getting them for $40 -$50 off amazon/ebay as just the console.pretty certain they are all untested too

You have nothing to worry about, ebay and amazon both have really good buyer protection, and snes's are more likely to work than break.

I have one that I've owned since I was 5, it was dropped 5 feet onto a tile floor, its cracked in half down the middle and the actual pcb is cracked. The reset switch doesn't work but 20 years later the console still works fine otherwise.

TL;DR these things are robust as fuck and if you get screwed with a crappy console on ebay/amazon you'll definitely get your money back.

I remember on of the scripts on the aqua stage where it was like dash into a random crate whole dodging Ralph, it was the greatest happy accident discovering that.

To add to the list of games if you want to import parodius, ghost sweeper mikami, ganbare goemon 2 & 3 & also so of the anime based tiles the sailor moon games are all pretty fun as is the magic knight rayearth rpg they are obviously aimed at a female market since there based in shoujo manga. If you have decent understand of the language some of the sound novels are great too like kamaitachi no yoru, tsukikomori & gakkou no kowaii hanashi

I recently got a Super Famicom (with CIC to play games of any region and switch PAL games to 60Hz) and I need some help in getting import-friendly japanese games (this is, stuff that can be easily played without knowing a word of moonspeak) because the PAL and NTSC/USA versions of even the lamest stuff are extremely overpriced even for spare carts pretty much everywhere (120€ for Super Metroid? Seriously? I paid 20€ for the japanese cart, and even then I felt a bit ripped-off)

So far I've got:
- Super Mario World 1+2
- Donkey Kong Country 3 (planning on getting the first two as well)
- Super Mario Kart
- Super Metroid
- Super Mario RPG (came in a bundle with the other Marios dirt cheap, might turn it into a repro for the english version)

And planning on getting eventually:
- Super Castlevania IV
- Super Tetris 3
- F-Zero
- Starfox
- Megaman X 1-3

Any more interesting games fitting this criteria? Thanks!
