What are games you own that actually belonged to your friend but he never got it back for whatever reason (forgot about it, you stole it you bastard, etc)

Pic related for me. Friend left it at my place and never asked for it back. Not very surprising, I never touched it either.

Also my best friend from when I was a kid left his PSX controller at my place and never asked for it back so I kept it. Still have it, too.

There are probably others but I can't remember right now.

I don't steal games because I'm not a jerk. My cousin did give me his Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and his Street Fighter II Turbo when I was a kid, though.

I borrowed a friend of mine's sister's PS2 like 10 years ago to play Kingdom Hearts. It's still the one I use to this day.

Still have Soulbringer, Earthworm Jim 3D and Sid Meier's Gettysburg. which I got from my best childhood friend.
He sort of gave them to me, because they were all games that we played at his house first, and he hated them and "nah, you can borrow it, see if you like it better."

>> No.1837103

>>1837095
*incidentally, I never played them at home either, but I did like Soulbringer's atmosphere.
Just never got around to playing it properly.

Some people don't want confrontation like that.
Also there's an old saying like : Don't expect to ever get back what you loan out. Or "Don't loan out what you can't afford to lose"

>> No.1837154

I had this kid lend me Armored Core II and Final Fantasy X and never ask for them back even though he was over once a week to play 40k. I borrowed his 4th ed. 40k book too when that had just come out and he never asked for that back either idfk. I think like a year later after he'd bought another copy I was like uh dude I've had your book this whole time and he laughed and genuinely seemed to not care

people are weird man

>> No.1837160

A few years ago a friend borrowed me some of his Sega Genesis carts (most of them bootlegs), and after that he bought a PS3, and gave me the games. I think he gave the console to another mutual friend at that time, he's a nice guy.

It's a fucking PS2. If you can't grow the balls to ask for it back you don't even facking deserve it srs.

Oh wait, the guy was talking a grill huehue. Still it's just an expression. She should have asked for it back.

> sharing is caring anon

No, fuck you. I wish I never did this shit. Games I lost and the reasons associated with them:

> super mario bros / duck hunt
He moved to another school and lost contact
> gauntlet legends n64
His "friend" borrowed it from him
> final fantasy 8
It was stolen. Apparently someone went into their apartment and lifted the game and skipped everything else. Then that guy never shows up at school a week later.
> gundam battle assault 2
Fighting game wannabe pro tryhard borrowed it to practice. Afterwards it just mysteriously vanished and luckily for him that's the one he lost at all the time.

I'm pretty sure there's more. If I ever have the chance I will undo the whole sharing is caring thing in this world. I'm pretty sure whoever invented this intended to use it to trick children.

Wow seems like people really don't respect you.

Why did you keep giving your shit away?

One time I let this fat nigger borrow my sister's Cruel Intentions DVD and he gave it back scratched the fuck up like you wouldn't believe. I said what the fuck and he claimed it was like that when he got it. Jesus Christ. That's the only time I experienced this kinda shit.

*I mean I let other people borrow my stuff but only that one time it came back fucked up.

Oh wait. Actually one time I left my N64 at my best friend's house for a while, and when I got it back the video (yellow/white/red) wires were fucked up.

Why are people so retarded?

Actually I did intend to give it back, I mentioned that I was almost done with the game and that I'd return it soon and their response was along the lines of "No rush, I don't really use it," and that was the last that was ever mentioned of it. This was when the PS2 was still being sold new and weren't cheap, too.

>> No.1839890

It took me about ten years, but when I was suddenly and forcibly moved across the state as a kid, I did make the effort to return a friend's tapes (audiocassettes) to him.

I will never perma-borrow anything, and what with everyone and their dog being social network addicts, it's pretty hard to NOT be able to find people in a few minutes anymore.

Looking back I feel like I just wanted to hang out and play games more than actually know who I am playing games with. Coincidentally those were the only rotten people I played games with. I was too nice and they must have taken that as naivety, which they were probably spot on.

Also I don't understand how people can mess up other people's things that they borrow. I've treated the things people have lent me better than the stuff I own. I make it a point to give it back to them just like they lent it.

Borrowed Mortal Kombat from a kid in elementary school.
He died a few days later. Ran in front of a semi on a bike that didn't have breaks. I remember we spent weeks watching the same bike riding safety video every day before they'd let us go home.

Oh man. I got a few in my collection today through that method.
Zelda LttP, Super Metroid, Snes Game Genie. I borrowed without asking (I know, I was terrible) Phantasy Star IV. A decade later, he ended up giving me all his games anyways.

But the others were never asked to be returned; they would have been (knowing the owners) sold or lost anyways so I don't regret not giving them back. Personally I feel it's better they're in a collectors possession rather than at the bottom of some trash pile.

Most of my Mega Drive games sort of belong to a friend of mine, I've asked if he wanted them back several times but he's quite happy for me to keep them, it seems.

Not retro but I also have a few PSP games that my cousin lent me. He died before I could give them back. :(
