Who here can beat Street Fighter 2 HD Remix's AI? I downloaded this for PS3 and the thing rips me a new asshole even on the easiest setting. Also my thumb is getting blistered from trying to do shoryukens.

Which one of you is man enough? Be honest pls...

Not sure if retro...

It's retro. It's Super Street Fighter II Turbo with modern sprites (and you can even turn those off and go classic mode). It's the same game exactly.

>> No.1826684

You should try /v/ op, probably get a ton more replies ("get gud") but some legit ones too.

>> No.1826690

>>1826684
But it's an exact port of the original game optimized for HD consoles (with a new skin on top, but core mechanics are exactly the same... and you can turn the new art off and make it 100% classic just at a higher res). I figured /vr/ would like it. Oh well.

This AI just beats my ass something awful. It's fucking embarrassing.

I hear it fixed more balance issues than HSFII or SSFXT for Matching services? But the music is really good. Never played it but damn this is catchy.

It is.

Beyond the crappy "buffed the fuck up" anatomy, they also traced a shitload of old art as well.

>> No.1826724

>>1826694
And that's not even the finished game. That's a prerelease pic form before thry downgraded the art because it was taking so long.

You can make the character sprites the originals, but the backgrounds and everything stay Udon. Which just ends up looking downright terrible.

Yeah...

this is tumblr level of horror.
the music are nice for remix minus that horrible wubwubwub for the staff roll theme.

>> No.1826981

you just gotta be as cheesy as possible OP, fighting game AIs are bullshit anyways.

I think it's ridiculous that it fucking sells for ten dollars still. MvC: Origins cost like... 15 bucks, and JJBA costs 15 bison dollars as well.

Thankfully, there's GGPO.

The main thing to remember is that the game is not the same there are Jamma Board versions and from what I understand this is an approximate emulation of the Jamma variants amalgamated into a horrible fraud that has a lot of tweaks that make the game sloppy and crude in relation to a now non existent Cps-1/2 version of the game...
The Battery's on the machines were made to last a couple of months on a charge so that they would have to keep re leasing the CPS systems so the Jamma board versions are the ones that most people played on...
The AI on the HD remix is retarded because it defy's the actual game-play system so instead of fighting with your chosen character as you would, you are merely just avoiding the AI's terrible preference to go for ridiculous uses of throws jabs and impossible timing based on your execution of a move or attempted punch kick...
Emulators for Cps1-2 are better, but super turbo is gone for ever...

don't know about the ps3 but the game is mainly hard on the 360 because 360' digital controls lag whereas the older systems didn't have that problem.

For instance, play Marvel vs Capcom 2 on the Dreamcast. It is perfect. Play it on the 360 and you notice the game is significantly more difficult to play because the controls lag significantly in comparison to the silky-smooth dreamcast controls.

>> No.1828542

>>1828534
It's probably input lag from your HDTV m8.

>> No.1828568

>>1826714
God while he's right about it being shitty, I really hate those "muh proportions!" fags.

>> No.1828569

>>1828542
I play my dreamcast and my 360 on the same monitor m8. Both with the RCA cables, no HDMI. The controls on the 360 lag.

>> No.1828572

>>1828569
>>1828542
Also I have to add that if there were input lag from my monitor, it wouldn't have any effect on my ability to use my special moves. If there is no lag from the controller, it should be just as easy on both platforms to throw a fireball or do some of my combos that are easy as sin on the dreamcast. Just saying.

>>1828568
I agree.

>> No.1828585

>>1828569
That's weird. I have the PS3 version and have no lag.

>> No.1828586

That's never happened with me. I have MVC 2 for DC, PS2 and 360 and with experience I can say that the 360 and DC are exactly the same. It might just be your TV friend

>> No.1828692

>>1828586
I'm using the same monitor for both systems both with RCA cables. I can definitely notice a lag.

>It's Super Street Fighter II Turbo with modern sprites (and you can even turn those off and go classic mode). It's the same game exactly.

Actually, that's completely wrong. It has many changes to characters and mechanics from ST. It's not the same edition of the game.

>> No.1828772

>>1826984
It probably also had a video of Obnoxious Douche 'narrating' it to some furfag music, I would not be surprised.

>> No.1828926

That isn't even a well-made critique. It is this guy ragging on Udon.

I wasn't impressed wit hthe work they did either. I thought they (capcom) should have remade SF2 with new sprites of the quality of SF3.

>> No.1829616

>>1828760
Classic mode is. There's a Remix mode that has the balance and mechanics changes and the Classic mode that is good ol' ST with different graphics.

>> No.1829696

This would be a good place to ask.

I'm collecting for SNES right now and trying to keep my library slim and strong instead of just EVERY GAEM.

Which SNES version of Street Fighter should I have? Turbo? Super?

>> No.1831471

>>1826643
HD Remix is based on the Japanese Dreamcast port of ST, which is significantly easier than the U.S. arcade version. If you think that's bad don't bother trying to beat the American version.
