How can I connect a Raspberry Pi to a CRT?
I'm planning to build my own arcade machine with it.

Raspberry Pi for Emulation thread?

Get a CRT with HDMI-input. Should be the least problematic.

Use the AV out and you won't need filters

Why bother?
I think an android phone emulates way better..

Does such thing even exist?

>>1825759
Because it's cheaper. Most of the other components I can get for free.

So this yellow connector on RPI is the video output? I thought it was a SPDIF output.

So it's as simple as plug n play or should I change some config?

I was at a thrift store today with one of the last versions of the Sony Wegas that had an HDMI input.

While SPDIF uses RCA connector as well as TOSLINK. No, that yellow is literally composite video out, just like Red Yellow White cables.
You might want to use HDMI for setting it up though so you can read the text and see the full screen.

>>1825770
If he gets a beaglebone he'd need to get an HDMI to S-Video/Composite adapter. Also, at garage lab it's out of stock but it's price is five bucks cheaper than a pi.
