Modded, rare or limited edition hardware thread?

I'm not a pro at modding and I'm still not capable of building something that is identical to corocoro's scan. Also because of the huge amount of paint layers I forgot to do the circular area around the D-pad. Don't care much though, I'm still very happy with what I did. Next step is ordering a backlit screen when rosecoloredgaming will restock.

It's hard to really judge people for when they get into retro games. I didn't even know how much I liked NES games until I played Animal Crossing on the Gamecube, and a few years later I bought my first NES.

Also, people may be surprised at how much kids can still enjoy older games. I know two kids, 9 and 12, who love it when I let them play my retro stuff, and who have no problem going from playing xbone to playing wario land.

Did it hurt when the entire forest fell on your head? How the fuck would anyone with an age of more than 20 years think that? Last time when I thought that anything what was full of small, colorful lights looks much better than anything else I was about 12. Most of the time it's there just for the sake of having more and more useless stuff inside since it doesn't do anything useful and on top of that it looks gross when you just put them inside without any sign of decoration nearby which might need backlight.
