This is a pretty decent port. It's a shame about the password save, though - there are some really long levels/areas in this game, and you only get a new password at the start. There are checkpoints, but you don't get a password when you use those so you have to beat the levels in one sitting.
I should have just got the remake.

Picked these up off craigslist this morning for $10 each, no cords or controllers unfortunately, just the boxes. SNES works like a charm first time, NES turns on and produces video but it's just that flickering color screen, and putting a game in is like throwing a hot dog down a hallway, so I'll have to bend the pin connector back or replace it, and it should be good to go. The guy said he had found some games, and he's going to text me and let me know what they are, so hopefully he's got something good (and as cheap as this was).

Initial impression, mixed bag. It's one of my favorite games on the Lynx, so it's got a lot to measure up to.
For some reason I've never been too impressed by GBC games. On the other hand I'm perfectly fine with B&W GB games.

For Klax, they used digitized sounds, so there's a constant whine. The two blue tiles are very close in color and easily confused. But control seems fine.

Yeah pretty much no makeup. She might have had a little eye makeup and lip gloss on. It was winter, obviously so she's especially pale. She's mainly there for reference on that CRT it's the largest class of 4:3 CRTs I believe was ever produced, a 42" Mitsubishi. She wouldn't let me bring it home so I settled for just a photo. If it had been a pro-style Megaview monitor she wouldn't look so happy in the pic because I'd have been dragging it home but it was just a consumer TV. I found the SNES at a church sale. I was "that guy" and asked if they'd take $5. Mainly because it didn't come with any cords. It was just the system. Plus I didn't know if it worked.

I found all stars + world Thursday at goodwill. I was just testing the snes.

Sonic bag was $1 at a yard sake. Its a kids bag so I cant really use it for much. But my friend and I decided we are going to use it as a water bag. It was pretty hot today and yard selling was rough. So next time we are going to put ice packs in the bottom and fill it with water bottles.

Lastly mall madness I like gimmicky board games.

recently bought a genesis as a spurr-of-the-moment thing and besides the common games I wanted from my childhood, I also stumbled upon this and it looked interesting. Reviews said it was fucking awesome so I went for it. Still waiting though.

$40/6 shipping, which I think is a nice deal in light of the condition and being complete in the box.

I got them over the internet, though to be fair, there aren't any particularly good retro shops in my area. Goodwill and flea markets have never delivered, and the two shops that do stock Japanese games overprice them to hell and back and never have them in the box with a manual.

One of them had these SGB commanders in the glass locker with an $85 "RARE, JAPAN ONLY!" tag, where it will likely just sit there and rot.

Found the mother lode of games at a some garage sales this weekend. $100 for everything pictured.

*$80 - 42 NES games that were less impressive (zelda, mario, mega man, castlevania, etc)
*Games I gave to my friend that came hunting with me (duplicates, brave fencer musashi, chrono cross)

Some time ago I got this terribly translated Pokémon Green Version (sometimes known as "engrish green") for 2,50€
So far it's perfectly playable, except for the completely awful translation that often leaves me puzzled about what is going on.

Then I also got "Mole Mania" and "Pokémon Blue" for Game Boy together with a non-battery rumble pak for the N64 for 15€
Both cartridges are in rather bad shape, but the games work and that's what counts for me.

just bought an N64 AC adapter. Haven't played my N64 in over a decade since the original one died. Now I'm going to replay all my games and maybe buy some more that I missed. A lot of the good ones are expensive though. The prices on the zelda games are criminal

I got Ocarina of Time for 5€ at a local store (cartridge only). If you happen to live near those used-stuff-stores (that usually sell more than just games), try to look there. Flea markets are sometimes a very good source as well, but make sure not to buy bootlegs, unless intended.

It's not solely about how many copies it sold, it's about demand. A lot of people want OoT, so it's going to be more expensive. That also means, however, there's a higher chance of it ending up in a thrift store or yard sale since there's tons of copies floating around.

No, it's a bootleg. But these versions aren't just lazy fan hacks, but are definitely floating around as cartridges for quite some time now. If you want to get one, try ebay or flea markets, maybe also some of the more run-down game stores.
