Is it accurate?

>Personality/Habits/Hobbies/Behavior: Friendly, cheerful and relaxed; the exact opposite of /v/. Exclusively plays retro games and owns a huge range of retro consoles, games, accessories and memorabilia. His personality is largely composed of mashed together 80's or 90's stereotypes, particularly its most commercialized (and videogame-related) facets. He doesn't seem to hate or even dislike anything, although he does reject more modern technological innovations.

nah. I pretty much exclusively play /vr/ games but wouldn't call myself cheerful or relaxed. Don't think you can describe a whole community with one faggots drawing / personification.

/vr/ isn't really that different from the rest of 4chan, it's just slow. Plus they like to armchair mod a whole lot.
Btw, NOT retro.

posts on /vr/ certainly are more civilized than most
probably because everyone here is too old and burned out to be flinging shit

Mature, even. Tre/vr/ has experience and perspective (but still 100% devoted to having fun)
>Exclusively plays retro games and owns a huge range of retro consoles, games, accessories and memorabilia.
Obviously 100% accurate
>His personality is largely composed of mashed together 80's or 90's stereotypes, particularly its most commercialized (and videogame-related) facets.
For sure, with "genre awareness" please (Like #21 & #24 were on Venture). Tre/vr/ chooses this lifestyle.
>He doesn't seem to hate or even dislike anything, although he does reject more modern technological innovations.
Still quite correct. Tre/vr/ reads magazines and watches his gameplay videos on VHS through his CRT projector. He leaves his cell phone in his Firebird (because it's attached) and his life is better for it.

ehh... we spend an awful lot of time arguing about which things suck and a shit and whatnot.

I am a person in his 30s who grew up playing platformers on Nintendo consoles (the late 80s and early 90s were the peak of Mario's popularity), fighting games in arcades (Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat were huge back then), and pc strategy games like Civilization or Masters of Orion.

Don't really like our Tan, even prefer Cranky.

We're certainly not as endlessly merciless when we disagree as other boards though - and we're only ever internally conflicted. We only rarely really rage about anything truly non-/vr/ related other than resellers commercializing our culture.

Tre/vr/ would never accept cash monies for any part of his collection

Anything else non-/vr/ is instantly dismissed other than a few little guilty pleasures we sometimes shamefully indulge in from the very, very early 00s.

What's "futuristic" to Tre/vr/ is obsolete to everyone else.

I think Tre/vr/ could be 30. 30 is actually probably the perfect age for him to be.

Who gives? Is a board-tan, it doesn't have to reflect all the traits of the majority of the actual board.

I'd say it actually seems to be an accurate representation of how most post(er)s come across here on /vr/, specially
>he doesn't seem to hate or even dislike anything, although he does reject more modern technological innovations
because while people do dislike certain games, they always seem to find something positive about them too and there's seldom flat-out, obsessed hate. And it's far more frequent to find people loving something than hating something over here. That's why this is my favorite board.

That was then, this is now. Tre/vr/ has both systems obviously. And a Sega Aurora too. Arguments like that only ever happen in his head about what to play and nobody else understands or cares.

Cranky should be Tre/vr/'s boss or landlord or parole officer or father-in-law or whatever authority figure he has over him.

/vr/-tan is a pretty rad character, but I don't think he's an accurate representation of the board aside from being more optimistic about video games than /v/.

We just need to flesh him out and get some decent drawfags on it.
