What does /vr/ think of the retron 5? My local game store has it in stock and was thinking of picking one up since I have a 40" lcd and my retro looks like shit on it, but the retron has hdmi and upscales (i think?)

As >>1797968 said. It is just an emulator. It doesn't acutally reads and plays from the rompack. It just reads rom information and runs emulator with appropriate rom.
