Terranigma BEST GAME EVER. If you disagree - go to hell. Not released in north-america, so it's not popular there, but check it out. It's the best game for SNES and best game ever.

Nah. Still pretty good though

Terranigma is my favorite game, but its unbalanced levelling system prevent it from being a "best game ever". Yes, I do realize that's a subjective category and that "best game evers" don't really exist, but still.

Also, anyone who has been into snes games for over two days already knows it exists, so let's all just calm down and stop pretending it's a super obscure game.

Just in case this thread manages to go anywhere, here's one of my favorite songs from Terranigma: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCi8S18zebI

What's the point of this thread OP, you don't open it for any discussion...

You're right, but so is the other guy. The towns get more and more modern depending on your progress except for Neotokyo, which always has electric power, phone lines, TVs and computers. It's kind of a joke.

Quintet was founded by the first two Ys games' scenario writer and programmer, so it makes sense that their games carry over some of Ys' flaws and strenghts.

the hell with that. you can backtrack and take a seagull to fully-built Neotokio before even reaching Loire.

Yep. Had it since I was a kid. It's very good but I think it gets a lot of hype simply because it never got a stateside release.

There is a hidden house in Neotokyo with a ghost inside in the trash can. And I think near the first dungeon there is a hidden race. I love the idea of developing a city depending on your decisions (loire) and I also liked the totalitarian reference in Beruga. Yes it's not logical that Neotokyo is way more developed while others are stucked in the 19th century, but then again, you came from the underworld and you travelled with a bird.... Which is the best character?

I never got past that jungle area with the lions in this. The combat is just too repetitive and the dungeons are too simple/busy-work-ish.
