Actually a pretty fun platformer during a time when 3D platformers were new and all the rage and everyone wanted a piece of the action. This game definitely deserved more credit.

this. this so fucking much. incredibly underrated, fun little game. when my uncle bought it for me I was like "breh is u srs tho". but then I actually played it and it's fantastic. I thought it being a sidescroller that allowed you to move on the z plane was amazing back then. It's dirt cheap right now, I recommend everyone pick a copy up. controls are weird but you get used to it.

Namco's not exactly treating him well now-a-days. I bought the new game because I was a fan of the Pac-Man World series, and the game turned out to be a steaming pile of unnecessary character redesign. It wasn't endearing, it was annoying and obnoxious.

Best retro one for me is probably Ms. Pac-Man, the original, or the first World game.

I wonder what brought Hirokazu Yasuhara to Namco during the time he was working on Pac-Man Party. What I've played of Pac-Ma Battle Royale at the local arcade is inspired stuff. Also, political pun.

This one's pretty bizarre. It's originally a reskinned version of an obscure old puzzle platformer called Fury of the Furries (no relation). The SNES version got its own original levels though.

Pac-Man 2 in particular is underrated, just for the love of god play the SNES version, Genesis port is horrible.

I recall one of the Gamecube Namco-museum coming with a really good remake/reimagining of Pac-Mania with cool gimmicks.

Pac-Mania itself was pretty good and for 1987 looked really great.
