Gunman's Proof is a late Snes game that combines LttP's visual style with Earthbound's unique sense of humor. (You are a cowboy fending off an alien invasion. The donkey you ride in the pic is an alien ally using the donkey's body to assist you since this fuck up was partially his fault.)

You collect guns, holy crosses and can learn how to shoryuken stuff to clear up the way, plus when you are facing the final enemy and he starts to give his cliched villain monologue, the protagonist just sighs and throws a bomb to him to shut him up.

I love Soul Reaver, maybe even more than Blood Omen, but I wouldn't really call it a Zelda clone. The combat is really unique in that you have to impale, burn, submerge, or expose your enemies to sunlight to kill them, since almost all of them are vampires. There are probably too many block rotation puzzles for the game's own good, but I still play through it like once a year and enjoy it.
