Absolutely this. It has a great battle system that rewards players for beating enemies in the most efficient way possible. But, on top of all this, the story takes place in a mythologized, ancient Japan where you have to save your elder sister from an ocean god. It'd be much more accessible and easy to appreciate with a translation.

To be honest, I've never heard of Bushi Seiryuden before, but If... is a part of a huge and popular franchise, with earlier Japan-only installments having had translation patches for years, and it's basically an expansion pack of sorts for SMT II, reusing most of content, so it could be very easy to translate strings for it using the know-how from the II translation (I wouldn't actually know, though).
