God I hated and loved this map at the same time. Everyone got lost in those sidewalks, the map is so small that it's hard to keep good-looking for the objective that is set to 4 in-game years of managing. It's just hard to get that objective done, when the park is full of stuff around mid 3rd year and you're still missing 400-500 guests.

Is there some kind of bug with RCT1 and having a large number of guests? Twice now I've played Evergreen Gardens and gotten over 3000 guests by the beginning of year 4, and when I try to save the game it crashes and my save gets corrupted/deleted. Am I just too MLG pro gamer or is there some way I could avoid this in the future? I stopped playing the game for months the first time it happened, and now that it's happened again I'm pretty upset.

I actually think that coaster is really aesthetic, but wild mouse type rides really shouldn't have such deep or so many drops. I think you could easily get more balanced stats out of a ride that size, but on the other hand maybe it's not worth changing since its so pretty already. The coaster somehow seems to "go" perfectly with your choice of paths, fences, and barriers, and the station house is cute too. I noticed you switched materials a few times there; was that intentional? It kind of gives it some realistic texture, which I like. And the little piece of track in the steel container is just amazing. I might have to steal that idea, it's so clever.

alright, here's what i've noticed so far after opening the park and messing with it for a bit:
- good layout; pleasant to look at and not too over the top. clever idea to prevent building over water of a certain depth.
- tree removal would be more of a threat if there were any trees to be removed in the first place- as it stands, you wouldn't be able to remove any of the trees that are in the map to begin with. might be worth mentioning that there's no way to change the terrain, either.
- ride selection looks good, but just a little bit too good for a park that's just starting out. consider nerfing your development tree.
- 'soar' is not a transitive verb. fix your description. or don't. i'm probably the only one who cares.

that said, i expect to have a lot of fun with this one.

It really was not that far.

Coincidentally, I just read this:

Other events cause a guest's mood to decline more quickly, including:

[...]

10. Eating a food item while sitting on a bench. However, this is part of a sort of "cycle". The guest buys food and his mood declines fairly rapidly as he sits and eats it. However, the food makes him thirsty, so he'll usually head for a drink stand. Buying a drink that's a good value will improve his mood a bit, as will drinking the drink and quenching his thirst (and raising his bathroom need). After that, he'll usually head for a bathroom, where relieving himself improves his mood even more. By the time this "cycle" is complete, the guest's mood is pretty close to what it was at the start.

da fuc?

There's a guy that streams RCT 2. When he first start streaming with the original RCT, he would insist that, when he was a kid, he saw a control failure'd merry-go-round shoot up into space and fall back down and crash. He was so convinced of it that he created a park full of merry-go-rounds and let them control failure and streamed it JUST to try to prove it happens.
Needless to say, it never did.

NOW This is an awesome ideal contest, pretty comfy and creative for everyone. Fuck it's pure pixel art in action. Looks like a damn LEGO set.

Well RCT it's almost like a damn LEGO simulator... I guess that's main charm about the game. No other game has better accomplished this.

I don't know if you meant to advice what I did, but it helped. You can make wooden supports go up under the coaster support to the level you desire.

Is there a wood support wall piece custom scenery? I've not seen one and it would be ideal for stacked track to help with the floating supports.

I'm not sure what you're saying but here is what I used.

That was directed at others here. Surely someone must have made a custom scenery piece that functions like a wall and looks like wooden supports, so that you can enclose track in supports like is done in out-and-back-and-again woodies.

Oh I see. Well all those custom sceneries are on a hold for me until OpenRCT cames out (if it does). Limits are too damn strong.

Haven't seen that yet. But I think that must exist somewhere.
If someone would provide screenshots of woodie supports from all 4 sides I'd make it on the spot. Just to lazy to get them myself.

Why banking turns tho? I get the idea, but it seem to have no effect on stats, and banks look a bit worse than the normal turns. I have another wooden coaster without banks at all and it got 8.9ex stats.

>> No.1764965

>>1764613
>>1764863

first of all, thats not a bad rating for a woodie. most woodies end up with stats similar to yours, its kind of just the nature of the coaster type. yours isnt all that apealing looking, but thats besides the point.

it looks like you know all the tricks to boost ride excitment, so consider what rating your coaster would have without going under ground, being near pathers/water etc. the game likes variety in coasters. long flat straights on a woody defeats the purpose.

as for banked turns, its all about keeping lateral gs down. if you can make a coaster with no unbanked turns that doest break the necks of your riders, well then cool. i dont see how you will be able to avoid them forever though. banked turns allow for all kinds of cool shit to be made.

i'd like to see a shot of your other coaster because im very curious how you managed

>> No.1764983

>>1764863
Like the anon before said, they're for reducing lateral Gs and also for added realism and aesthetic. Call me crazy but stats aren't worth jack shit if the track itself looks unappealing but in the end it's all subjective I guess.

Not a single one. But I know that this game is quite smart when in comes to counting those stats, so yeah, I would assume underground and water adds to it. Not the paths tho, that I did not expect.

Here you go, the pic.

>>1764983
But those G's matter only on high speed, I think, so it's dosen't really matter if it's not banked at 20mph. I'm all for aesthetic (my personal one), but realism is not a goal at all, so it is subjective.
