Whenever I see Actraiser I am reminded that nobody will ever succesfully make large genre hybdrid games again.

/vr/ I have to confess my sins. I couldn't beat the final stretch of Actraiser without save states. That part where you pretty much fight all of the bosses in the game one after another just kicked my ass too much.

It's pretty hard. It's all about spending your magic effectively, not using it on the easier bosses. If used well, magic can absolutely wreck a boss. If you can make it to tanzra/satan with a spare life or close to full life, he's definitely beatable. Don't need magic for him.

Speaking of EVO, I thought it was pretty cool that you could transform into a fire breathing dragon when human. Felt like I had super powers.
