The dude translated all german nintendo releases in the 90's and threw in all kinds of sexual innuendo, funny as fuck deliberate misstranslations and generally improved every game he layed his hands on.
He also wrote the legendary official nintendo comics, got nintendo japan to draw them and got away with it.
That's why there's countless of classic nintendo comics, drawn by official nintendo illustrators that show the characters boozing up, smoking and wario worshipping satan.
There's also a comic where mario has to fight chutullu.

The guy did a reverse nintendo of america when he localized banana prince for germany he had japan redraw all the female sprites to look sexier. With bigger boobs and pantyhoses instead of cargopants
