Man... Fallout is 17 years old...

We are all old fucks.

And even now there is no worthy successor to the Fallout series. NV is nice but it's a completely different game, AoD is noble but amateurish effort and Wasteland 2 is probably going to be a mediocre game.

>tfw I was just shy of 3 years old when Fallout 2 came out

I still played the hell out of that game.

I have faith in Wasteland 2, I've even supported the kickstarter, I think I don't know AoD, how can I look into it?

Also I'm looking forward for underrail, it *may* be a good thing.

Oh, Age of Decandence. Didn't play it, cause its still in development, but it seems like it will be a good game. Can't tell anyhow, we will have to wait and see.

I've played the demo. Relying on CnC was good, but it played more like a visual novel with combat than an actual RPG. People praised writing but for me it was passable at best. Combat system was interesting though, basically Fallout's system but more in depth and focused on melee combat.

i was very lucky to be 8 when i first ate the dust of wasteland.

i'm still keeping the game very carefully. it will be the first thing i'm gonna let my son/daughter play before school. i want them to taste loneliness, i want them to taste hesitations and how things may go unpredictable in life. i want them to taste the obscure reality before they step into real life.

i want them to be educated and start with 10 intelligence.

Asterix and Obelix for Snes is pretty decent,
but I swear that Asterix for Snes can't be finished without cheats.
Towards the end there are some spear pits that you simply can't avoid.

Asterix was for the C64 was weird.
I never understood how to play it since I had no manual.

I remember going to GAME with my friend and he bought this blind when it first came out. We played it for hours, getting the combat shotgun was like Christmas.

It was the beginning of my love affair with loot and post-apocalyptic environments. Still an incredibly atmospheric game.

>game is x years old, I feel so old

Getting really sick of these comments, seriously. Try telling a half-dead geezer on life support that you feel old because a fucking game came out nearly 2 decades ago.

There are plenty of fanmade content for Fallout. If you're feeling tired with normal playthrough you shoud try fan mods.

There's like FIX mode for Fallout 1, Restoration Project for Fallout 2. If you know russian there's whole new game based on Fallout 2 - Fallout of Nevada.

There's are also some MMORPG conversion, server names: Fonline 2, Reloaded, The Life After, Desert Europe etc.

Classical Fallout is very much alive and very very fun.
