Any good DreamCast recommends?
So far i've got
-Guts Berserk (dumb hack n slash kind of cool)
-Power stone 1 and 2 (I actually like 1 more, better single player experience. Also the PSP port is garbage because of the smaller screen area)
-Legacy of kain soul reaver (way better than the ps1 version
- Virtual On Oratorio Tangram (controls are garbage on the dreamcast, this game needs dual analog support to play comfortably, I regret this)

Currently Looking at
-Armada (beefy asteroids like RPG)
-Crazy taxi 2 (only had the first one as a kid)
-Grandia 2 (might just get the PC version)
-Dynamite Cop (fun, dumb, arcade beat 'em up)
-Cannon spike (crossover TPS)
-Mobile Suit Gundam E.F.F. Vs. Zeon & DX (TP robot fun, like armored core but arcade)
-Gundam Side Story 0079: Rise from the Ashes (First person mech game)
-Fur Fighters (had the PS2 version as a kid, DC version might be fun but I'm afraid of dual analog stick problems)

>> No.1686773

Dynamite Cop is fantastic batshit.

Maybe get the PC version of Fur Fighters though.

Does the PC fur fighter run alright? I'm pretty happy with the Jet Set Radio PC port but PC ports are always hit and miss.

I'd also rather use MAME for all these DC arcade ports but apparently MAME doesn't work with a lot of sega naomi games (even if you get the right bios)

Resident Evil Code Veronica is pretty good, and the other re ports are pretty good.I don't get space channel beyond being a mix of ddr and simon with an awesome presentation. Ikaruga - Best shmup ever. It took me years to get even moderately good at it.

Bomberman Online - Best couch multiplayer game I've ever played. My non-gamer friends and I got down so hard with this that we had to come up with rules for what you weren't allowed to do against other players because it was "cheating".

Jet Grind Radio - The whole reason I wanted a Dreamcast from the beginning. During a time when every alternative sports title wanted to be Tony Hawk, this game gave it a new spin and art style.

Street Fighter III: Third Strike - My favorite Street Fighter game of them all. The art style is just something else. Akuma all the way.

It was kind of sad to see it go from £40 to £30 then to £20, from multiple shops. Just reminded me of the Dreamcasts demise.

Recommend:

-Sonic Adventure 2. Solid gameplay and some unique features to the DC version. However if you like the Chao garden go for the GCN version instead, it's better on the GCN a hundredfold. Unfortunately somewhat expensive.
-Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. Multiplat game with a ton of releases but the DC version is best. This game is still so good after all these years. Dirt cheap.
-Soul Calibur and Dead or Alive 2. Soul Calibur has extremely impressive graphics and animations that hold up even today and a fun challenge mode along with a super solid gameplay system. DoA2 has hot chicks and a crazy fun tag-team mode that makes up for its less polished gameplay. Both are priced fairly low.
-Spawn: in the Demon's Hand. Awesome arena shooter where the goal of the game is to beat the boss in a certain amount of time. Dying reduces some of your time. Tons of characters and weapons, this game has more collectibles in it than it has gore, and it has more gore than most DC games. It's valued quite consistently around $40.
-Skies of Arcadia: The best RPG on the system and one of the best RPGs of all time. Expensive.
-Grandia II: Another very solid RPG. Comes in four disc case although it's only one one disc; the other is the OST. Bought for around $30 typically.
-Shenmue: The game that defined the system. This game requires a lot of time investment and has a very slow start, but has a great combat system and a super-intricate story. Typically $30.
-Crazy Taxi 2. Improves on 1 in every way. Super fun game that's easy to play if you only have a short amount of time. Cheap.
-House of the Dead 2. Fun rail shooter. Cheap.
-Dynamite Cop. An awesome high-octane beat-'em-up where you can wield all kinds of weapons. If you like Power Stone, you'll like this game.

I have a question which might as well be asked here. I want to back up my Dreamcast games. For years I've heard from people on the internet how easy it is to backup Dreamcast games. Every tutorial on the internet for backing up Dreamcast games explains how to download other peoples copies and burn them. This is not in fact a back up. How does one legitimately backup Dreamcast games? If I hear the words Disk Juggler I will fucking strangle someone.
