Why hasn't a soda manufacturer released a glowing drink yet?

Surely it couldn't be that difficult to create or that much of a hazard to public health.

Maybe with FO4 Coca-Cola will partner up, realease Coke-Cola Quantum "GAMER FUEL"
and make billions.

What would it taste like?

>> No.1682924

Coca Cola has another brand of drinks in Latin America called Tropical, and one of the flavors once was blueberry. My guess is that.

You can make any beverage glow under blacklight by adding quinine. But then you have to deal with the flavor of quinine.

But idiots would probably buy a drink, even one that tastes like shit, if it were sold, glowing, out of a blacklight-lit cooler.

I mean, shit, they could just sell tonic water that way. Bleaugh, tonic water...

I'm just about to play Fallout 1 for the first time, completely blind. Is there any information I need to know for my playthrough that the game won't mention? And is it possible to play as a class with no combat abilities, but with maxed out sneaking, charisma, etc.?

>> No.1683269

>>1683241
Yes but some side quests might be too hard for you.. If they are forget it and save them for a later play through. You should always be able to sneak/fight/or talk your way through a main quest.

Save all the fucking time and keep at least three save files. Quick, slot a and slot b. Keep cycling through a and b every map change kr event and quicksave all the fucking time. Those bugs

All I'm going to say is keep your Intelligence at minimum 7 to unlock all the (relevant) dialogue; there's no point in having a speaker that doesn't have IN>7. Yes, you can play as a pacifist and/or sneaker. That's all.

for a 1st playthrough take gifted

tag small guns, speech, lockpick

take awareness at level 3

i could tell you better stats to take but that's pretty much all you need for smooth sailing

At least this retarded advertising placement was consider non-canon in the Fallout Universe.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Bawls_Guarana

I really love how they force this shit into the game
>But before the Great War, Bawls Guarana concluded a lucrative contract with Vault-Tec, which wanted to build the Secret Vault in Texas. They sponsored the construction and only its product was allowed in the vault, at the expense of Nuka-Cola, non-existent in this region

I posted in (I think) the last FO thread, I recently scrapped my first FO2 run at New Reno due to losing the car and other frustrations. Planning on starting over.

I'm gonna roll high on agility and intelligence, obviously, but I'm not sure how to balance the other traits. Is 6 okay for PE or do I want it higher? Would 4 STR be too little? I don't think I'll mind having low EN.

>> No.1683837

>>1683823
I wouldn't go below 4 in any stat, personally
unless you're doing a themed build or something.

6PE is fine. 8 is kind of the sweet spot for stats as most high end perks require 8 in their respective stats.

ST depends on the weapon you want to use.
3 is enough for most pistols while almost all rifles need 5 and big guns around 7.

EN can be neglected in Fallout 1 and 2.
It's more important in Fallout Tactics and Fonline.

Have you played FO:2238 with /v/? I did 2-3 years ago,it was pretty fun. Guys that i played with were really cool guys, we would do all kind of shit together. That is unless we met the Russian slavers, oh the terror. One time there was like five of us and two Russians in power armour intercepted us, I kinda know some bits of Russian and I tried to communicate... well we were lucky to have established base prior to that and deposit spare equipment.
Anyhow, fun was had.

It seems that FO:2238 is dead but there is FO Reloaded server, which I might check out.

When you die you lose gear and respawn. You can play both real time or turn based, it depends on initiators settings.

Check this out if you want to play.

There aren't really that many mods for Fallout 1 and 2.
Mostly cosmetic ones that change the car or guns
or rebalance mods that make guns more deadly.

I guess the only one that's universally interesting is the widescreen mod.

For Fallout 1 - FIXT introduces very litle original or hidden content, thus might be fine for first playthrough.
For Fallout 2 - RP has plenty of content created by community based on design documents and unimplemented parts found in game resources.
Most of such content is concentrated in new locations, thus for vanilla-like playthrough you can just skip those.
