I think I might have the first mod/game that actually models the KSG-12's twin tubes somewhat realistically. You switch between the two with alt-fire and can load them with different ammo types.

next up is the M1216 which has 4 different tubes that can be rotated. FML.

Oh sorry - yeah, it's compatible with all duke levels. Episode 1 is the only one that's been released, but you can put any Duke map in there (as long as it doesn't have new art or code with it, only a handful of maps have so it's nothing to worry about) and select it from the usermap menu.

Yeah, it's got a track I quite like from Opengameart. I've been trying to move away from ripped tracks and been using free/CC music from various places. It's not all gone (The shadow warrior style levels use music from the original) but it helps give the mod a bit more of it's own feel (having said that, Millhaven's use of Ghosts was pretty great and I'm pretty proud of the finishing cutscene which I put together when the author finished the map up)

SW's music is really awesome, nowadays people get caught up in the SJW-bandwagon that I've seen people denounce it just because of Lo wang but it's a really solid game that's got better gameplay than Duke (most of the time anyway) and a really great soundtrack.

I've got one of the novels they commissioned for the game and it's really really fucking goofy. The plot is that an evil scientist has a device that can move entire fucking continents and he wants to make Pangaea again. I tried to put the entire physics part of it aside but I felt my brain bleeding out when it started saying that australia was moving fast enough to generate an air current.

Any old TC, episode or mod should run.
For example if that mod just uses a single .grp file, you need to put that file into the root folder of the game and launch the game this way:
- right click on it in your library
- properties -> set launch options
- and type "-grp GRPNAME.grp"

If the game uses a grp + a bunch of files you need to put all these files in the root folder, you need to put all these files + grp in the root folder and launch the game.
If it's just a bunch of files, put them in the root fodler (and try to remember which they are so you can delete them afterwards) and launch the game normally.

However, what I wonder is music. Megaton and Redux is .ogg music and I believe they don't even support midi musics; while obviously all the old mods use midis. I don't think the musics would play then.

I played The Last Warrior TC for SW using Redux just fine. I don't remember the music though; i think it just played the music from the nromal game; i don't even know if that TC had new musics so i can't help.

So yeah, any old mod that doesn't require eduke32 should work; but I don't recommend it though since Megaton can be glitchy. Like for some reasons when I get hit the screen stays red for more than 1 second....

Flame Thrower short life projectile spam or Dragonfire, single projectile wide are short life.

A lot of big battles are dealt with by running in circles for massive infighting.

As someone who did like 4 of the things, here's my advice:

1) Set an alarm on your phone for exactly 3 hours from the time you start. This will give you about 20 minutes after the alarm goes off to tidy up and finish the level, if you haven't yet, and to playtest it and see if it's beatable.

2) Don't stop building. Constantly be building on new areas, or texturing, or placing enemies or whatever. The only time you should stop and test should be if you're doing an effect that you haven't done before (like donuts or certain lowering floors, etc.) and need to make sure it works.

3) If you can't get something to work after messing with it for more than 10 minutes, scrap it and do something else. It's better to put something else less fancy or complex and have the rest of the level look thought out than to have one really complete-looking area and then shit.

4) Maybe this is just me but I tend to draw out a room and then detail it, and then move on to the next area and detail that. This makes my 200min maps a little smaller than most, I think, but still makes them playable and look good.

Choco doom should tell you if it's a visplane error. But yes, if it's crashing that's USUALLY the culprit unless you really muffed something up. I had a room in my first map that I overdetailed and had to scale down in order for it to not crash.

Either akin to how the Hell Knight is pleased; yet fully on her back with Doomguy crawled up between her massive legs (Lots of Size Difference kinks in that), or she drops to her knees and Doomguy crawls up her chest to fuck her in the mouth. Granted, for a repeated animation the crawl-up wouldn't be animated, unless you can somehow implement that before the loop cycles, never to be used again sans initial interaction.

Other variables could be comical "Let me get on top" scenes where Doomguy is getting crushed under the weight of a giant, lustful cyberdemoness, easily crushing him with dem thighs/hips. Could also do nipplefucking if people are in to that, or straight-up tit fucking.

Cheers, there's 3 different ammo types apart from standard buckshot - Flechette, explosive, and Magnum Buck shells (which do a shitload of damage) There's armoured enemies which can only be reliably taken down with Flechette ammo, and I plan to add some more (for supernatural targets)

There's also ammo types for both types of 40mm grenades (Cased ones that mostly US stuff use, and the caseless ones that the GP-30 et all use) Basically if anybody likes alternate ammo and stuff like that it should have you covered.

The model is actually from a screenrip of a F2P game called Crossfire. It's got some cool guns, but since it's a simple F2P they all pretty much do the same thing and don't have any cool functionality (which is kinda why I get sick of F2P games since most of them are the same)

Ah piss, I had an idea for a Wolfenstein-themed level to replace Map32.

It would've been a remake of Wolfenstein's E3M9, the showdown with Hitler. For those unaware, there are several Fake Hitlers in the level in robes who shoot flamethrowers at you, and then the real Hitler has the mech and chainguns. The idea was to replace the Fake Hitlers with Aranotrons and Hitler with the Mastermind.

I don't know why, but the Archangel Spartan kits really appeal to me, just in looks, has a futuristic feel to it.

I doubt they're especially good, since Archangel is owned by Promag, but it can't be worse than Tapco.

Most people who get them don't bother removing the front sight on the barrel, so you have this front-sight post that doesn't line up with any rear-sight you could mount on the top rail, hence people put their own front-sight on the top-rail as well. Leaving that useless sight on the front bugs me something fierce.

I wish they'd make the Mini-14 Target with 5.56 barrels, because they're otherwise excellent for use with the kit.


You get the sweet sweet sound and feel of the Garand action, with a modern tacticool mallninja look, it oddly appeals to me. I want to put it in Doom.

I should note that I played through this today (as much as it can be played through anyway) and had some notes:

-I made Valley of Hatred and it actually looks like dick with the city sky; can we move it to the next portion with the hell skies maybe? Although it might be considered too easy for that portion of the game
-Map02 (2.wad) has some error messages with ZDoom but they're harmful stuff about lines with no width and an unused sidedef
-Map06 (1.wad) is fantastic, kudos to the anon that made it
-I could not figure out (and thusly couldn't beat legit) Map09 (200mins.wad). The thing with the raising platforms confused and frustrated me; every time I jumped down to cross over them they started to go down. It wasn't a timed thing because if I waited they would just stay up, so I don't know what to do to get past that part. I could just be too stupid.
-The lowering walls at the beginning of Map10 have Lower Unpegged on, which means they just sort of evaporate while they go down. They should instead just be aligned manually, which is a pain in the ass but it's the only way to make them look good while also not look like crap when they lower.
-Doortracks need unpegging in like tons of levels but I'm sure that's an issue we're all aware of and willing to forgive in a speedmapping challenge.
-I love the expansive feel of Map12 (Doom2Map.wad), it really feels like a mid-game Doom 2 level like Suburbs
-Map22 (Blood River) rules!
-Same with Map23 (Walls of Jericho)
-On the other hand, if you're the guy who made Map24, 200 Minutes of Going Down--Cactuses, fuck you up your ass with a rusty trident, you enormous faggot. TWO ARCHVILES IN A ROOM WITH LIKE 20 REVENANTS AND BARONS. I could not beat this level and I would legitimately love to see someone try.

Should use a couple of the slow and dark tunes from E2, and one or two moody tracks from TNT for any TNT styled map. See if there's any custom tracks available as well.

I suggested a new set of sky textures as well, like maybe a gray overcast for the first sky, a dark starry night for the second, and some hellish red for the third.

Probably, which is why I feel weird about liking them, but Mini-14's apparently cycle very well as long as you use Rugers own magazines.
I also really like the standard rifle stock of the Mini-14 too, it's nice with a self-loading 5.56 rifle with a rifle grip that isn't a gimped NY/CA AR-15.

They are, but the Mini-14 Target is designed purely for accuracy, with the .223 barrel and Harmonic Dampener, it's supposed to be able to very very accurate, 1 MOA or less when the dampener is dialed in. It has no sights, you're meant to use your own optic.

The gun was added to the Mini-14 line in the 2000's when it was overhauled, it's pretty much made to tell everyone who said Mini-14's are inaccurate "fuck you!".
