I still consider CBFD as the best game Rare ever made.

>tfw you'd like to ask why people always circlejerk about Rare's N64 games so much but always seem to forget the kickass games they made for the NES but if this thread is anything to go by the only response to that would be something in lines of "le epic battletoads meme"

Why sonic 3d blast sucks balls and snake rattle 'n roll is the best game ever, even though they suffer from the same problems?

>> No.1659016

>>1659000
Sanic 3D had slippery inertia and weird ass turning. I actually enjoy playing that game constantly rolling rather than running, because sanic controls only make sense when curled in a ball.

What? I don't hate it, it has the best OST of all genesis sanic games.

I really don't know what's worse, the vocals or the dialog. It's like the edgy teenager B movie equivalent of games.

As in, when you turn in rattle n roll the snake flips immediately, but in sonic he does a full 180º arch. You can also have a bit more control over your turns when in the air, so either play by constantly rolling and only running to keep momentum, or by constantly jumping.

Also, both Rattle and Sanic don't have an option to use the directional keys to walk in diagonals (like in FF Tactics or Boktai) when playing isometric games most people prefer to go diagonally up/right or up/left when they press up, not straight up. I personally don't mind but I know some people find it annoying.

I like how all of the voices are done by exactly 3 people. 2 of them being the developers themselves and the other one the only woman they could find at the company.

BFD's pretty damn good. It's rather hard at points, but I can't deny it's charming as heck and its ending is pretty damn perfect.

Conker is just a one-of-a-kind game. Nothing like it has ever come before or since.

I don't know man, never was a fan of rare 3D platformers like Banjo, DK64 or conker.

My fav Rare game would be either diddy kong racer or battletoads vs double dragon

>I always called it a very smart game under the disguise of a very dumb one.
Honestly, I'd go as far as to call it a stupid game under the disguise of a smart game pretending to be a stupid game. Have you seen the interviews Chris Seavor has been in regarding the game? It really feels like it was held up using fishing line and bubblegum. I'm sure he was exaggerating when he said they had like 2 meetings together as a team, but still.

I think the multiplayer is the best part of the game. I spent a lot more time playing that with my cousins back in the day than I ever did in single player.

Just got my hands on an N64 and checked to see how much this game is going for...

Guess I'll just keep emulating it.
