PS2 slim is my favorite. Simple, elegant, sublime, powerful, mysterious and imposing, its like a monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Both PS4(which basically looks like 2 stacked PS2 slims) and XBONE are obviously copying this design, but due to fatness they are less graceful then PS2 slim.

>simple control switch/button formation, with satisfying tactile responses when powering on, and ejecting carts.

While I personally prefer the look of the Model 1 Mega Drive, I can appreciate the SNES/Super Famicom's superior design.
I never really liked the N64's squashed, spread out look, with it's bumps and protuberances. Those controller ports were nice though.

One time my dad lost it at me 'cause he came into my room and realised I had been playing the N64 all night. He smashed the shit out of it, throwing it around at all four wars, with WCW/nWo Revenge still inside. My dad then threw it out.

I had to go to the community garbage tip outside our house and root through the trash to find it and it had all these broken holes and shit in the sides from the broken plastic. The WCW/nWo Revenge cartridge had broken off and the bottom part was still lodged into the N64. I took the N64 back to my room, hooked it up, and the sonofabitch STILL worked, and it still works to this day, all controller ports and everything have never given me problems. Can you imagine if that was a modern console? Motherfucking Nintendium.

Although recently my Gameboy OG croaked. Sad story.

Even though I hated Sega and was an ardent Nintendo fanboy back in the day, I love the look of the Master System. I think it's the epitome of 80's design of electronic entertainment.

It could easily be a VHS player or something similar. It looks a lot like something called a moviebox that you could rent over here, before VHS players became mainstream.

I've always preferred the styling of the Famicom over the NES. It's very compact in size and the controller slots make it easy to put it away tidily when you're done playing. The white and red color scheme is cute, too. It really gives off that "family friendly" vibe.
