Anything on pre-EGA IBM compatibles. Jesus, what an awful gaming platform.

If the lazily done shitty letterboxed 50hz PAL conversions we Europeans suffered from qualify I nominate the PAL version of Sonic the Hedgehog.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYdHUZlb7qs

If we only counting ports between systems I nominate any of the fighting games ported to the Game Boy.

>> No.1623370

>>1623343
Sonic the Hedgehog wasn't converted, the PAL version is exactly the same as the NTSC version.

The performance differences are due to the console itself.

Which version is this? I've been around the block with the NES and SMS versions of Prince of Persia, how worse can it possibly get?

Mickey Mania SNES.

LOADING. TIMES. ON. A. FUCKING. CARTRIDGE.

>> No.1623448

>>1623435
As I understand it, load times on carts were more common than anyone remembers, because apparently they were masked by results screens and whatnot at the end of the stages.

Also, there are some notable cartridges that didn't bother to mask them. Street Fighter Alpha 2 SNES, The World Is Not Enough N64, and Barman Forever.

Whatever it's worth the ones in TWINE aren't too bad.

>>1623435
This happens any time a game's ram exceeds the amount the system can currently load.

>> No.1623517

A lot of PSX/PS2 PAL games were slow and floaty as fuck.

FFIX slowness makes getting the Excalibur 2 much harder and a perfect game is even impossible.

>mfw playing the PAL version of FFIX on a console that constantly had DRE problems with it
Also don't forget the XBOX HUGE borders some PSX and early PS2 games had, FFX is a good example of this.

>>1623370
True, but Sonic was a game that was SUPPOSED to showcase Megadrive awesome speed and "blast processing" capasities which simply weren't there in the PAL version.

DOS Megaman wasn't quite a port though

It's an original game that amounts to a poor licensed fangame made by people who probably have never touched the rest of the series series

>> No.1625546

Really i was sure it was a port or was there another mega man game ported to dos ?

>> No.1625838

>>1625546
Mega Man and Mega Man 3 for DOS are not ports of the NES games but original games made by company called Hi-Tech. Think of them as Mega Man series' equivalent to CD-i Zelda games as they have nothing to do with the NES games or the people who made them.
