Aqua Park: Water Slide Stalled train
Karts & Coasters: Both Woodchips, although Big Woodchip is most susceptible. Station brakes failure

It looks nice, but consider the trajectory of trees and how they grow. Ideally, you should blue the border between the cedars and the firs: a bit more firs on the flatland foot of your hills, and some cedar creeping on the hills.

In real life, of course, these trees wouldn't last a century these closely knit next to each other, but thankfully there's the bulldozer tool to thin out the landscape if your autism is intensifying.

Ideally, with most coasters, you want the exit as far at the end of the station as possible (1-2 blocks max) as to ensure the highest chance of fixing Station Brakes Failure before shitstorm.

Chances are, if your ride is awesome, your guests will want to ride it again 1 or 2 times, so they'll immediately head straight to the entrance. Therefore, yes, keep the pathways to the entrance and exit as close as possible. HOWEVER, to avoid overcrowding and some guests being turned away because other guests were being faggots and cutting in before them to get into line, you want to stretch out your exit path just a bit to even out the crowd after they got off the coaster. Remember, every guest has a different walking speed.

Why are the RCT1 parks so much more fun than the RCT2 ones? It's like the old parks possess some unexplainable, otherworldy quality to them.

>> No.1594023

>>1594007
For me, it's about the parks.
The original RCT actually gives you the challenge of unlocking future parks. It gives you determination to fully complete the game.
While RCT2 may have better features to it, it never really delivers a proper challenge, seeing that all parks are unlocked from the start. There's no special determination to have there.

>> No.1594026

>>1594023
While that's certainly incentive to keep playing for some people, even the recreated RCT1 parks for RCT2 are more enjoyable to play, even though you don't need to "unlock" them in any way. I think it's mainly the fact that they're more simple in design, and allow for a greater degree of creativity.

Depends on the rides. You want shorter lines for flat rides, and long lines for coasters. Watch the satisfaction rating, it seems to be affected by queue time.
If you don't mind shelling out a small fortune on queue line TVs, you can make them as long as you want.

I remember taking my save on floppy disk to a friend's home and his older brother wanted to know how to build shit underground. But the younger brother was like don't tell him and he got pissed off.

Reading up on coasters has made me notice something: RCT2's block brake feature is kind of unrealistic in the sense that it slows trains down by a lot. On most coasters I've been on, block brakes act as trim brakes, and only slow the coaster down a touch. You don't go down to 4 mph and slowly crawl out of the section, you fly through and don't lose much speed.

I think it's because that Goliath hyper-twister at Magic Mountain slows down to a crawl at the block section. Watch it on Youtube... the damn thing crawls into a helix. At least RCT3 let you choose the speed of the block brakes

i might sound like a broken record, just pay attention g forces when testing the coaster. you can look at the graphs when testing to find the problem areas.

in this example.

1 the initial hill is just i little less high than the first drop.

2 the coaster goes up a bit to lose a bit of speed before the upward wider banked turn

3 this height is just a bit lower than the hill at #1

4 this is a wide banked turn because the coaster still has a lot of speed at this point and occurs at less than half its height.

5 we can afford a tighter upward banked turn here because the coaster has lost enough speed to not cause to much lateral g's.

6 the last steep hill to give an airtime boost which the coaster travels pretty smoothly over.

contiued..

1 longer hill just a bit less higher than the previous.

2 just some final helixes to add a bit more excitement and thats about it.

its a simple design and i've built more exciting woodies but i think this is a decent guideline

If you have 1.32 open (I recommend using 1.302 for general use because it's the most stable), press control+F1 in game while you have the terrain menu open and it'll enable the mountain tool

Yeah I couldn't really do anything to make it not intense without going sub 6 excitement.

This is my pride and joy of this scenario though. Pretty happy with it.

Lateral G's probably (possibly vertical)

Nah

Also thats a fine nausea rating. Might be because IRL Hyper/Giga coasters have a much smoother track

>Went to throw together a mini to experiment
>Forget they are one car
>Try and do the lift hill trick (where you add small upward curves since the trains are long enough they make it up to the next hill)
>Finish awesome as fuck track
>Test
>Can't make it up the hill
>Spend 20mins trying to fill the kill, tearing up a ton of scenery
>Fix it
>Test, set to car one
>THIS GUN B GOOD
>Car goes ever first hill
>Doesn't make it up the first incline
>Haven't saved in awhile

This part feels natural to me yet it has put the vertical G into the red zone (section marked in red). Is it really that crazy? Here's the track.

http://www66.zippyshare.com/v/81309340/file.html

There's another part also that made another stat going into the red but have since modified the track.

>> No.1601764

>>1601749
It's the shallow-steep transition right at the end of the red. That's what's causing it.

This. It't vertical GS no laterals.

>> No.1601963

>>1601860
To be more exact, it's negative vertical g's. That means the riders are being thrown up, indicating the track just turned down. Best way to fix that is to remove the shallow-steep transition and just stay shallow for that downhill segment.

Basically:
• RCT4 PC is releasing in Winter 2014, and website/forums soon.

And mobile stuff you won't be interested in...
• Mobile game prices are going down
• Android version coming soon.
• Build timers being reduced
• 'Plane' feature to send messages to friends
• Plane can also be used for marketing your park like in the past games
• New shit being added

Also we need a new thread soon

The thing with RCT3 is you can tell they tried their best making it like RCT2 just in 3D. Some things were better in RCT3 but for scale and performance, RCT2 wins hands down.

Nice. I reckon you could get a higher excitement/lower intensity by smoothing out the drop with a block or two of less steap chain lift at the start?

Also how did you get it to reverse launch? a trainer or something?
