I think this is the right kid. The one in Galerians, who you first meet in that surreal hotel. He's always staring that that clock, and yelling "it's only 4:09!" or something like that, and then you find out after you kill him that 4:10 was when these adult scientists would pump him full of messed up, damaging drugs.

Every one hit kill game with limited continues. Getting good is hard as fuck in those games, you cannot optimally practice on that specific part, and if you get fucked at the end, well, you get fucked.

Or fuck, accidentally killing a Pokemon with a critical hit when you intended to capture it.

Or when you press a time sensitive button but the controller doesn't register your input so you land in a fucking pit.

Story relevant deaths have never actually phased me though. I just want to play the game, never have been able to get emotionally attached to any videogame character. Whenever some cutscene or other thing that interrupts gameplay pops up, all I can think of is how I just want them to speed up the process so that I can continue on my adventure.

The mountain goat scene.

It came out of fucking nowhere and it's was like watching lion king again for the first time. I think I was around 13-14 when I played terranigma for the first time. That scene cut me up pretty badly. Poor goats.

If, later in the game, you return there...
there are two goat skeletons instead of just the one .
So... I guess the world is less another goat. Everything works out like it's supposed to, yeah?

Every boss in any game ever. I always feel like the 'bad' guys should win in a game. 'Good' guys are always lame, never have a solid strategy in any fucking game and are always the underdog with a small group of four people to save the world. Seems like in videogames that it is always the other side that has their poop in a group, so therefore, I feel like they are more fit to rule the world than whatever group was in charge of fucking it up in the first place.

It's not the saddest death, but it always made me feel a bit upset.
That is to say, izlude always seemed like a good hearted character for the amount you see him. He just got caught in the bad cast of characters, he could have been a good ally to ramza

Actually I think FF2 killed a character or two off before PS2 but it was hard to give much of a fuck about them. They'd join your party for a dungeon just to catch a rolling boulder at the end, that sort of thing. I think. It is honestly hard to remember because they're just not memorable.

Eh. She died too early for me to really get attached to her.
I've heard of people who named her after their own mother and got hit hard, mind, but for me, who always goes with the default, it wasn't much of a deal. She prettymuch got one scene and then they offed her. Not much of an impact.
I felt worse for Flint than I did about losing Hinawa. They really conveyed his emotional response to the news well, and the scene honestly goes on for awhile. You really get a feel for his turmoil.
