Fucking this. Original was good, and Ruby/Sapphire was awesome. Still waiting on another entry, there, Game Freak.

My first Pinball game.

Spent most of my pocket money renting this out every fortnight. Worth the £2.50.

This game right here...

My favourite pinball game.
Me and my dad used to play this constantly. We would always try and beat each others high scores. Best table was vikings.

Kirby's Pinball Land is probably my favorite and most--played Game Boy game.
My high score is 4,219,150. That run was legendary.

i like them, they are different enough to the real deal to be interesting on their own
Tengen is by far my favorite oldschool pinball games developer Alien crush and Demon Crush were amazing

I can't play them anymore. Like, at all. Ever since I started playing real pinball and actually decent virtual recreations, I can't play those spin-off games anymore without them feeling really off.

Especially Pokemon Pinball. I loved that shit back in the day, replayed it a while ago and holy shit, it just felt so wrong, and yet I can't put my finger on exactly why it felt that way. It's a weird feeling.

Sonic Spinball is one of the worse programmed games on the Genesis. Low and inconsistent framerate. There's zero reason to play it when you could be playing the much superior Dragon's Fury.

I played Pinball more than main Pokemon games back in the day. I saw the previews for it and knew I had to buy it.

It was way addictive. Also, that built-in rumble in the cartridge was great.

Actually, Compile developed Alien Crush and Devil's Crush, and Naxat published them for the Turbografx-16. Technosoft handled the Genesis port of Devil's Crush and Tengen published it for that system.

What do you think the best platform for Devil's Crush is? I prefer the TG-16 version's graphics and music and the fact that you can save, but the Genesis version has slightly better minigames.

this sucks. There's nobody talks about 6th gen stuff on /v/ anymore because it's not new enough, but you can't talk about it on /vr/ because it's too new. There's pretty much no place to talk about 6th gen anymore ;_;

>> No.1528349

>>1528325
I'd rather have 6th gen be stuck in a limbo than have /vr/ get bombarded with "ironic" Halo and CoD threads. Besides, you can still have good threads on 6th gen on /v/ if you post at night.

They can be good or bad. That metroid one is pretty good, the mario one is fucking bad. I guess certain games lend themselves better to pinball gameplay.

I picked this up the other day. Haven't played it much yet. Seems pretty cool, though NES pinball is about as dodgy as you'd expect.

The thing I hate though is that we can have Dreamcast threads galore and yet nothing else from the 6th gen is allowed. Dreamcast was a great system, and it did die fairly quickly, but it IS a 6th gen system.

The only one I play regularly is this weird fucker. A not-so-great Pac-Man game conjoined to a not-so-great pinball game. Somehow, together they manage to make something pretty fun. There's a decent amount of depth to it, too.

It confuses the shit out of anyone playing it for the first time, though. Most people start it up, wonder why the ball isn't coming out, and fail to see that there's a Pac-Man game happening up top. (But then, helping people play games is a third of my job. The other two thirds are wristband duties and making sure no kids are trying to rip the joysticks out of their sockets.)

I've been playing this recently. Found it after a gorillion years of sitting around and the rumble cart still works perfectly. I love the janky physics, especially how you can sometimes nudge the ball out of the drain, into the bottom of the flipper, then it'll shoot transversely through the middle of the flipper at a respectable speed.

I've heard this is one of the best Pinball videogames ever made, not sure how true is that, but considering it was made by Nintendo's R&D1 commanded by Yokoi, I wouldn't be surprised.
Samus also makes a cameo on it apparently.
Been meaning to get it but VB games tend to be pricey, especially in my country.

Holy Shit, i had this game when i was younger. It has all these different themed pinball stages, and then there's this RPG mode where you go on a medieval quest as a pinball.

>> No.1529286

I only played two spin-off games: Sonic Spinball and the Metroid on NDS. Didn't like them much.

My fav games at this time are the Amiga version of Pinball Dreams/Fantasies. The physics feel spot-on, and the variety of themes are well done. The DOS version is almost as good but doesn't scroll quite as well. Also like Tristan Pinball for some reason, even though it's fairly barebones compared to those other two.
