When I used to have a PS3, I was partial to a version of tetris made by EA on the PS store.

It was surprisingly good. They even had some online modes that let you play against people or with a partner. It was really interesting. One of the few good things to come out of modern EA.

That's an intentional mechanic that has been in nearly every recent version of Tetris because the fall speed in later levels is pretty much instant. Pretty much the reason I stopped playing later Tetris games because it gets boring once you reach level nine because there is no skill left, all you do is slide pieces on the ground and rotate until they fit.
