I've been to retroaddicts and they are overpriced. There are some good non-retro game prices (Post PS1. Also got MGS 1 on PS1 for a good price though thats like all that had. Black label) but everything else is insane unless it's a PC game and I think I picked through their good stuff already.

Collectors in this regard puzzle me: the means for actually playing and experiencing these products is available to all of us and at a miniscule price compared to hunting down individual games, which makes me think the guy just wants to own the product for the sake of "collecting" it. I feel like the fluctuating and arbitrary pricing is just the name of the game here. Reproaching the overprices I commend him for.. but only for educating potential buyers in making a purchasing decision, which is the only way the prices will actually drop.

But back when I was collecting games, I would dish out cash on a whim just to own the product ASAP, so as long as there are more people like me trying to snatch up retro games, these games will sell at ludicrous prices. I wish you luck, collectors.
