Good afternoon, /vr/

The weekend has come, and I feel like playing some videogames. How about you?

I'd like to bring to your attention Mednafen, a multi-system emulator. What makes it so special? It has unique netplay capabilities that no other emulator has.

- SNES Multitap emulation (you can play Super Bomberman 5 with 5 people over netplay).
- Up to 50 people (by default) can connect to a running server.
- You can drop in and out of a running game without having to reset the emulator each time.
- You can share a single controller and try to beat a one player game together, taking turns on death.

So, why not give it a try?

At any rate, I will attempt to beat Hack 2, a Super Mario World hack that was released last year.

It's single player, but we can try and beat it together taking turns. Or if you'd like to see me play it live, you can log in and chat if you'd like.

Something I neglected to mention:

What makes this SMW hack unique is that each level has a sort of gimmick. Rather, a condition or challenge that is imposed on you that you must somehow overcome to finish the level.

... mind you, red blocks are alternative exit blocks. I still need to find the regular green block in that course in order to unlock the final level.

But I'm sick of that level for now, so let's move on to another level.
