Look at this Zork 1 poster produced by the Zork Users Group. Just look at it! A copy of this poster sold recently on eBay for almost $500 - For a poster! But here I'm sharing it with you in the highest quality I'm able to post on this board.

What have you got for the thread?

Here's one for Zork 2. It's easy to download these games, you could download every Infocom game in about 30 seconds. When you see art like this, though, it helps to appreciate just how deep these games were to the people at the time - something it's easy to forget when "lol this game is only 32k"

Yeah those Psygnosis covers are all awesome. Is it the same guy who did those Yes album covers? I know at least one of those video game covers got re-used as an album cover. I guess those fan bases didn't overlap much back then.

Yes

He was a prog rock album cover artist and designer foremost, the album covers came well before Psygnosis and video game covers

Sure it was. It fueled the imagination. Those graphics were just a representation of the amazing fantasy world that actually would have looked like those covers.

I wish developers of today would examine this concept when creating new games. A game with the solid mechanics of a classic PC game plus the graphical style of its supplementary illustrations would be a smash.

Really is a shame that it never actually went into production. You couldn't even do it now without everybody saying that it's a rip-off of the Matrix

There was also an unreleased Neuromancer game by Timothy Leary that was centered around the script for the movie. Apparently what's left of it is in the Library of Congress now
