I've been running Diddy Kong Racing on 1964, and ran into something of a problem. Adventure 2 utilizes flipped/mirrored courses. When emulating, the courses don't mirror, but my controls do.

It wouldn't be a problem to reverse my controller inputs but that takes away from part of the challenge, since at that point I'm just racing on a normal course against better AI. I did some poking around and while I ran into a few forums where people were having a similar issue, there wasn't any kind of resolution, so I was wondering if anyone here knew of a way to fix it or has encountered a situation like this in other games.

Bumping this, I've been streaming lately and want to figure out what the deal is so I can keep the run going.

I've been running Adventure 1 again with "TIMETOLOSE" enabled in the meantime, but I'm hoping to get a proper Adventure 2 playthrough.

While that's honestly pretty awesome I don't think it's going to help, since I don't have the necessary tools to stream from a console and need to do it from PC.

Otherwise I'd just be using the DKR cart I already own.

Bumping again for answers!

Knowing if any emulators aside 1964 (the one I'm using) and Project 64 (bluescreens me) can run the game without this error would be helpful too!

>> No.1421978

Last bump, I take it this isn't a well known or documented issue, hah.

Can't you googl eother emus? Try Nemu or Mupen. I've had games (Like Wonder Project J2) that only run 100% on old shit like Nemu.

I was going to start just running it with random emulators and seeing what worked, yeah. I'll try those two out though, I'd rather have recommendations from what people know worked instead of shooting blind, you know?

Weird, I play it in Project64 with zero issues.

Project 64 bluescreens me when I boot the game, and I have no idea as to why. It was the first emulator I tried since it seems to be the standard.

1964's been working perfectly fine, and still is, aside this weird issue.

Have you tried both 2.0 and 1.6?

I only tried one of them, and I'm not certain which it was off the top of my head, but I'll go back and give both a shot when I try testing it again. On a different computer at the moment.
