in goldeneye on the bunker level, there are a bunch of tvs hanging from the ceiling. if you throw remote mines on them and blow them up, all thrown items will studdenly start suspending themselves in mid air. This plus the infinite ammo/all weapons cheat makes for some pretty cool shit. it also helps that guards infinitely spawn if you set off an alarm so you have lots of fodder to play with

From my experience and enjoyment:

Final Fantasy Tactics - Weapon Duplication for those damn rare Swords
also
The Square + Down glitch that saved you hours of grinding

Ogre Battle 64 - Item Multiplication, shame the only item i ever wanted to duplicate for real (Peace & Love) was not affected by this, at least i got an army of Angel Knights and Seraphs

Metal Slug 2 - That glitch on the 2nd boss where he doesn't move or shoot

Pokemon Duplication

FF VI - Relm's Sketch glitch ( i could never reproduce this on an emulator, only on the real console )

Donkey Kong Country - Weird colored kongs & The crazy teleport glitch on the overworld map that skips world 1 , 2, and most of world 3

Last Blade 2 - Juzoh keeps one of his SDMs on Speed Mode doesn't need Super Meter to activate & Moriya's Instant Teleport

Hope i remember more soon

I remember this FF6 being the first game I invested time in looking for FAQ's on glitches.
Relm's sketch was a big one. I managed to get one of my character's General Leo's Shock ability.
Also having 255 Atma Weapons etc. wasn't bad either.
Didn't take too long for it to erase all of my saves, but still fun while it lasted.

My brother got an incredibly rare bug in final fantasy 7 where diamond weapon doesn't show up. You're left to wander the world in your airship looking for nothing. He started a new game the next day and beat it in a week.

In final fantasy 8, at the missile base on disk 2, there's a door where Selphie declares "IT'S LOCKED", but quistis points out that she has a key. In my game she didn't have a key for some reason. After learning what was supposed to happen and this bizarre bullshit I quit immediately.

Our playstation is cursed.

>> No.1397393

Tomb Raider had a bunch of game that allowed to go through some boring parts very quickly - crouching, swimming or jumping on the corner of a wall would get you on top of it, jumping forward on the corner of a movable block makes you go through it, finding the right angle can make you traverse fences, going into certain areas in a way the developers didn't intend you to go makes some enemies spawn but not be animated, weird water behavior where it suddenly stops in a wall because the game doesn't expect you to be able to go there when it's still flooded, etc.

My favorite one ever is in SOR3/BK3. Most of the characters have an affinity towards a certain type of weapon and can do additional special moves when they pick it up.

Blaze's thing are bladed weapons, especially knives. If you do a running blitz special with the knife equipped, she kinda does a slashing shouryuken with it. Most of the time it just knocks the enemies down on impact, but every once in a while (when you do it as close as you possibly can, it seems), the knife gets kinda stuck in a dude's sprite, raping him for a gorillion damage in a matter of a seconds.

This vid is from Remake, but it'll do:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksMVc0VLcAE

It's the fucking hypest shit, and it's immensely satisfying when you pull it off.

>> No.1397816

In Icewind Dale II once you get the first infinite bag but before starting the next chapter, you can make it glitch out and spawn more throwing knives if you try to put them in the bag. It's fixed after that part. I used it to make tons of gold.

Mine are from Majora's Mask.
I really like using Fierce Deity anywhere because he is a cool character and I wish there was more story about who and what he is but it is somewhat of a consolation to be able to break free from the confines of the boss room and roam free around Termina with him.
The second one from MM, that I love, is being able to stop time. Many people complain about the time limit interfering with their ability to progress with the dungeons and, as a result, I think this glitch is just perfect because you can stop the clock and do all the dungeons. The only thing the time stopping changes is your ability to do bomber's sidequests - but if you want time stopped then it won't matter anyway, and it's a glitch you can do at any point in the game, which is also good. It's just such a helpful glitch but it's also cool for exploring Clock Town.

Another one

Conker's BFD - I experienced a game breaking bug.
On the final part of the "It's War" Chapter of the game, you have to run away from the teddy base and to the beach, if for some reason you die at the exact moment you are crossing the invisible line that starts the escape cutscene (a teddy rocket hit me and i fell beyond said invisible line) the game skips the entire cutscene and sends you to the military base, upon exit, some events are triggered already for no apparent reason, here is what i found

-It was day when i went into the base and now its night outside
-the windmill has been blown off
-the queen bee is dead
-you can't go into any other door
-if you approach the door from the military base it closes (or opens, i forgot) then starts to fly into the night sky above and beyond
-somehow this gets saved to the cartridge and you can't advance the game anymore, you will need to start a new game

Top Gear Rally on the SNES - if you rode the outside wall on certain corners you gained a speed boost above the maximum your car could reach. The secret was to hold the stick away from the corner *almost* enough to make you leave the outside rail/wall. Made the game absolutely awesome.

Also Pitfighter for the Amiga500. Had 1/4 circle moves that weren't programmed in. Allowed you, for example, to turn a jump kick which had shitty hit ratios (u/f + hit) into a combo punch which had great hits (u/b + hit). The jump-kick would launch you, and then the move turns int oa combo punch midair. There were a few other things you could do in the same vein.

You guys need to learn the difference between a "glitch" and a "bug". Most of what you are describing are bugs.

Bug: An unintentional (or intentional) error that can be replicated under certain circumstances. Mojaras Mask fierce diety mask bugis one such example.

Glitch: An error that usually only happens once. Such as the graphics on an nes cart being scrambled due to dirty/faulty connecter pins.

Flying Zora, loved that one. And glitches that only happened because of Gameshark but using any item on Epona causes some dodgy things to happen

>,if you don't press the button to look through the telescope at exactly 00:00:00,
No, you don't have to do it at exactly 0, of you do it at, say, 0:00:10 it should still be ok because the telescope takes time to close. It's very easy, ive never failed to do it once. Also, yes the quest NPCs go, but themain story ones don't, which is why I like it because you can do the story without time. See pic, the Lulu is still there, And there is no clock, should I wish to do Great Bay.

Can time be restarted again in any way? Will it go back to normal if you play the tune?

how long did it take you to get it? I've got now to pretty much 100% success rate, but when I first tried I was trying for almost 5 hours, and when I got through I missed the frame for the jump slash.

Yeah, just don't play the song of double time, because that freezes it. The thing is, time still passes, like it still changes from night to day but the moon and the sidequest NPCs are gone. Other than that, it's allokay.

The other thing I forgot to mention is that you won't initially be able to open the start menu. In order to open it, you need to either see Dawn of a New Day, or the Night cutscene thing. The problem is, Dawn of a New Day doesn't always occur, and I'm not entirely sure what triggers it, so you may have to wait until nighttime before you can change your items but it shouldn't take too long.

The first time i've played the game i got this glitch, and i was so sad to restart the game from the begining

>> No.1405357

One time when I was playing Spider-Man on the PS1 I had a weird glitch where the game suddenly starting playing all of the humorous "what if mode" dialog. I didn't even know about what if mode when I first encountered the glitch and hearing that stuff blew my mind.

Press select the exact moment you start a screen transition and you'll warp to the opposite end of the next screen. They fixed it in DX.

ya that's my favorite glitch, I was pissed they fixed it in the psp remake and I actually had to grind it out

Which would you recommend? I hear the PSP version has a better translation but is horribly dog-slow.

>> No.1405693

>>1405593
The original, the translation isn't that bad, I'm sure you'll understand all what goes on

plus the psp translation is too pretentious and gets annoying after a while

ya the game lags to hell for every spell. it gets really old really quick. And even though I hear a lot of hate for the ps1 translation I thought it got the points across better.

You can do any of the quest related things, if you mean the spider house, do NOT do that, because he just produces a blank response, and I can't remember of it freezes the game...I will try it tonight. But you can even save your game, that doesn't fuck it up, but when you open it on the main menu it will say you are on the first day...but in a different language... Dont know why it does that.
