No, tons of people did. For one thing, it has a much better singleplayer than SMK64. And it's also fair, contrary to SMK's bullshit Luigi and Mario cheating constantly with stars right when you get near them...

The only time stars randomly appear on A.I. in MK64 is when you're in the middle of the pack, and you can actually hear it coming unlike SMK's bullshit.

I agree OP but i enjoy DKR a fair bit more.
