I love playing Final Fantasy Seven,
my dick is in Tifas 7th Heaven.

Let's talk about the best FF7.

I love FF7:

- no grinding required
- random battles come in decent pace
- sidequests are all fun (chocobo breeding is simple compared to shit that you need to do now in this gen)
- great characters
- all towns look different
- dungeons are easy to navigate.
- fast battles
- not a single bad track on the soundtrack
-the graphics during the fight look great
- fuck you, I also love the lego graphics

The only thing I gamesharked is the 4xCut ability from the 2xCut materia. Hell I'm already level 99 and still not have enough AP for that thing considering its already mounted on a triple growth equipment.

I'm not so sure about that point, unless you're specifically comparing it to the abysmal speed of FF9's battles. But that snowboarding minigame makes any flaw seem insignificant. Fuck yeah, snowboarding.

This is one of my favorite things about it.

Yeah, the prerendered backgrounds kinds look like crap now, but back then, it was a huge deal to have lots of different towns that all look different, instead of just being different collections of the same buildings like in most old RPG's.

I don't care for the franchise, or even the jRPG genre in general, but I thought FFVII was fun. Cloud and Sephiroth are two of the most annoying characters in history, though.

Why is there no way around grinding out a goldie if I want an optimized KOTR build? And the way they set it up, it's as if the game wants the breeding process to take two whole discs and then some.

You can beat both Weapons without KOTOR if you don't feel like breeding. If you're not even planning on fighting them then of course it's a wasted of time.

Are there any places in Disc 3 to farm AP without getting too much EXP? So far the only good AP places i've found are the underwater plane where you get the 4x materia, and the ancient forest but both of those places level me up fast and i don't want that.

Just finished my first playthrough. I'm a bit sad that I stumbled upon two of my three party member's best weapons and the 4x materia though. Made the end really easy.

ruby weapon isn't immune to paralyze and you can mime limit breaks. Seriously.

Once I just grinded up three mime materias and just summoned phoenix over and over on emerald.weapon and that required literally just pressing the same button over and over until he died.
