It's a fun little game. Very good music. Cute graphics. The way the enemies go from looking normal to 'beat-up' as you wail on them is adorable. There isn't anything really challenging about it though, especially if you clear the 'battlefields' to get all the extra equipment and experience. Give it a couple hours and if you don't like it, don't finish it.

This dude is a piece of shit, he only thought the music was "ok", after listening to his gay rant about how easy the game is because he played it 2 decades after it fucking came out when JRPG's finally became relatively popular, he shits all over it. The worst part was him getting mad about the npc's being a higher level than you when you get them, the irony is you outlevel them really quickly and if they where any less that level the game would become relatively difficult, which was not the intention.

I actually enjoyed this game, to be honest. It's not a REAL final fantasy, but it has its own unique charm that sets it apart. The music is great and the graphics are minimal but they get to the point which is fine. The battles are somewhat boring and the plot is meh. But I still enjoyed it.
