What is your favourite retro console?

Mine is the Sega master system 2.

After modding it for RGB/S-video and "stereo" audio output it is amazing.

what process did you use to convert RF to RGB?

anyway, i didnt know the Sega MS2 had stereo output

I would have to say the Master System 1.

I was literally the only kid that lived in my street that had one( other kids had the NES).

Me being the only kid with it mean't that all my friends would come over to try out the Master System due to the fact they never played one before.

So based.

here is a guide to add RGB out, and pic related is the wiring for the audio and S-video mods.

http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/sega/sms2-av.htm

I just use an adapter to convert s-video to composite for when a TV doesnt have S-video in.

It used to be the SNES but lately I'm leaning more towards the Saturn.

The Master System was turly an amazing console. I honestly can't decide between that one, the NES, or the SNES, due the amazing games each had.

I want to say SNES, but... NES had the Mega Man games, and Master System had Golvellius...

And yes, I also like the Genesis a lot. But not as much as those 3, don't know why.

>> No.1358027

I had both, the NES and the SMS but I have to say I liked the SMS more, if only by a small margin. I still play games like Shinobi and Wonder Boy 3. Awesome games.

Same here m8, also my favorite console of all time, though for whatever reason I still don't consider it "retro".

In that respect, I'd probably say the Neo-Geo. The Saturn has really been growing on me lately, though.

I had a Master System and I lived in the USA. My parents got me one after my NES basically crapped the bed.

I have a lot of fond memories of the system and I feel like I got some great games, but there were some serious design flaws. The whole pause button on the console was dumb. The wires for the control would always kink and there were a ton of crap games on this system in between the gems.

Also, getting that poster in each game and seeing games that were "on their way" and then never showed.
