So an ex of mine had given me a stack of SNES games for my birthday a few years ago, some classics like Primal rage and some...not so classics like ultraman. Fast forward a few years and I over hear a few guys in a used game shop talking about haw Megaman 7 sells for close to $100 for just the cart. Megaman 7 was in the stack of games she gave me. Does it really go for that much and if so....why?

1. Because with the exception of Mega Man Soccer, all the SNES MM/X titles go for that much or more these days; you can blame it on any number of the typical things (gudgaemz, hype, resellers, youtubers, etc)

2. Because more people liked the game than are willing to admit today.

More that I was implying 7 is one of those games wherein it has become popular to put down in gamer culture. It's the popular game to criticize, essentially, and in my personal experience I've even known individuals to bandwagon on this 'hate'.

well, X isn't that expensive. it shouldn't go for anywhere over $15 at the most, but X2 and X3 are pretty up there.

oh fucking wow. i just checked on ebay. X is now going for 20 bucks at the cheapest and people are bidding on them. seriously, what the fuck guys?

7 is one of my most favorites of the series. It's nothing new as usual for MM, but has great music, I love the visual style, pretty fun stages, it's just all around a good game IMO. The weapons could be more useful, however, in the rare moment I'm not using the jet pack, I end up either wearing junk shield or using the slash one.
