Anybody played this?

>> No.1350479

Of course. Passable platformer. Challenging if you want to get to the secret world. One of the game's developers blogged a bunch of details about how it was implemented.

I played the gameboy version. enjoyed it

surprisingly good considering its premise. it isn't amazing, but its quite playable and fun.

possible link?

Global Gladiators is the sequel. It's also developed by the Earthworm Jim & Genesis Aladdin guys, so you know it's fucking quality. Tallarico doing the music? Take my virginity now.

it's not a sequel. they just both use the Mc Donalds license

>> No.1351108

I think this might've been the first game I ever played. I looked it up a while back and found out Treasure, the guys behind Gunstar Heroes and Mischief Makers, made another McDonald's game on Genesis where you play a Ronald himself.

>> No.1352797

Of course. I remember playing it with my cousin years ago.

It stars the same nigger and whote kid. It's a sequel.

this game is sm3 tier.
unexpectedly great

I liked it. I remember when I first came across it in the middle of a platforming craze, I was like 7 I think. Rented from a Blockbuster and faked sick to miss school and play all day. Not Mario 3 good (to me, tho I see this comparison from time to time) but really fun. I may even own it but I feel like I don't yet.

MC Kids isn't nowhere near as difficult as PLOK though. I beat it 100% in a weekend rental as a kid.

Both games were developed by Virgin. The kids are named Mick and Mack in both games. In what fucking universe are these games not related? Fucking autists, I swear.

>> No.1353179

Global Gladiators was made by Dave Perry, MC Kids wasn't., they were developed by two different teams around the same time and were never intended to be any sort of sequel to one another.

played it, own it, still like it
Not a fan of when you boot it up, and the childish voices sing "Virgin!" at you, when the Virgin Interactive logo appears. *sniff* Little fuckers.

Underrated platformer. It wasn't by any means the best platformer I ever played, but far from bad.

For some reason Mc Donald's have quite a few good games, there Treasure Land on the Genesis that's actually a great platformer made by Treasure (Gunstar Heroes, Mischief Makers, etc).

M.C. Kids also has a great chiptune soundtrack.

Eh, I much prefer the McDonald's games where you actually play as Ronald Mcdonald.

There's about 3 of 'em: this one, Donald Land on the Famicom and a Japan-only Game Gear one.

>> No.1354273

>>1354263
Here, have some more info about that Famicom Donald Land game (be warned, this was when McDonald's was facing backlash after the release of "Super Size Me", so it's pretty damn dated).

It's not as difficult, but it sure is long to have to do it in one sitting. Especially since you need to re-visit old levels to find the cards you missed so you can progress.

Yeah, but I do agree that you don't deserve any sympathy if you're a tubby fuckface that keeps scarfing down fast food every day and nothing else. Moderation is a gift - don't abuse it.

How so? Are you saying that few people know of it? I'd disagree because I see it brought up all the time. If you mean that people see it as a worse game than it actually is, then blame AVGN.

>If you mean that people see it as a worse game than it actually is, then blame AVGN.

I've never liked MC Kids outside of the music. I don't really think it's all that great. I imagine some others feel the same way. You dumb niggas love to blame AVGN for everything.

Now Treasure Land, that's a legit McD's game.

Actually, James Rolfe has stated he actually likes the game. The purpose of avgn is to exaggerate his anger towards games
