Did anyone ever play this back during its release? I still own it, and the game has not gotten any easier. Its probably one of the hardest megadrive games. Its frustrating, but it only made me want to beat it more even if the ending wasn't much. Just to finally get to Ra and throw grenades at his face was so cathartic after the stress getting to him.

Played the SNES version. I pretty much watched my dad get all the way to Ra.

It was neat that some of these movie tie in games had objectives and weren't just run and gun shooters.

I don't remember it being strikingly difficult, except for the final showdown with Ra, which I most certainly remember kept going for ages. Then again, I may have played it on easy back then. The thing is, if you haven't done some particular things during the game, even if you win, you'll get a bad/not so good ending.

Even harder than this?

I liked some of the ideas movie games had to be unique even if they still ended up being bad. Like Alien 3 making you conserve ammo instead of being a straight up Contra like game.

I had the Game Gear version. I thought it would be like the Genesis one, but it's just a boring puzzle game.

That is physically logically morally psychologically geologically economically and sociopolitically possible.

I love AOB&R but it's so hard it's absurd. I never got past stage 3.

That fucking fifteen minute batwing segment in stage 2.

I played that for the first time last night.

Fucking ridiculous. I can't imagine ever beating that with just one player.

Speaking of movie games, I thought True Lies was pretty neat.

Dude, I was playing this literally two days ago.

Shit is tits. It's almost like a 2D Goldeneye. Except it's not. I can't think of a better way to describe an overhead shooter with mission objectives.

I didn't know this game exist. I love the movie, I might like the game as well.

AHAHAHAHAHAHno.

The game really is ball-bustingly hard, and can easily make you hate the Stargate franchise by proxy. Feel free to try it, if you wish...I think it was still better than the puzzle game for Gameboy(but I'm biased on that, so...)

How would the game get easier? Game difficulty doesn't rot over time.

That music in the first level is forever burned into my brain. Dat fucking bass guitar, mang.
