It was probably in their best interest not to, considering they literally had to give Dragon Warrior away with Nintendo Power subscriptions to get rid of their excess copies.

I've never found a shot of it online but back in the 90's, I used to get Game Informer and there was this one ad that always sticks out in my mind. It was a Gameshark ad with the Gameshark logo on a torn condom wrapper and it said "Gameshark -play hard, you're covered"
