Sword Master and Flying Warriors. Sure both have their flaws, but man, I spent two amazing weekends with those games.

Moon Crystal is the best nes game of all time. I grew up with an nes and didnt discover moon crystal until emulators. Also an overlooked Nes game might be Blaster Master.

Agreed. I've enjoyed every game I've played by them, and every one has had it's share of flaws. What ever became of them?

>>1323705
Oh god yes, I forgot about this. My friend and I used to rent LNB all the time as kids.

Man, i thought everyone knew Blaster Master. But then again I grew up in a very small town, and like three people had copies, which means every kid got a chance to play though it.

>>1323713
I didn't discover this until emulation, but it was shockingly good. I would never have expected a Jackie Chan game to be so good.

I keep forgetting how well some publishers are able to handle licenses. It'd be easy to point to the Super Nintendo version of Batman Returns or the Simpsons coin-op beat-em-up, but this is a wonderful little action/adventure game.

I hear you can use the Zapper somewhere in this game, but I haven't gotten far enough to know exactly where.

Last time I played Lone Ranger was when I borrowed it from a friend well over 15 years ago. I recall liking the game.

Stuck on this and Lolo 2. Fucking balloon monsters fight on Fire n' Ice and the shitty Floor 5 level on Lolo 2 where have to cross the moat multiples times while blocking that fucking medusa. I've been stuck on both of them forever.

Anything in Lolo where you have to cross water makes a puzzle into a damn time bomb. I just hate seeing him stop and get blasted by medusa heads lol.

I fucking love Fire n' Ice. Seriously my favourite NES puzzle game.
I don't know if it's overlooked (I don't see people talking about it too often), but Shadowgate is my #1 favourite NES game.

>>1324117
Shadowgate huh? I have this game but I never took the time to really get into it. I see its potential but I guess nothing ever motivated me to start playing it. What do you enjoy about it the most?

I name files that when I'll only use them once, so that the next one overwrites it.
Gameplay itself isn't amazing, but it has damn nice atmosphere. Cool music, eerie visuals, but most of all some really well-written text. The first few screens with "the last thing you remember are the words of the Druid Lakmir..." or whatever really hooked me to it. Gave off a really 80s fantasy feel.

I had Shadowgate on my Apple ][gs. I cant bring myself to play it on the NES. It is beautiful in 16 bit Apple glory, same with the Immortal. The Nes ports were just shit. Ah the days when Apple was awesome and didn't just overcharge for fancy junk.

>> No.1324640

>>1324635
Sorry, but the ports to the NES were not shit. The music in those games are god like.

Dude Nes's paltry 5 channels vs the Gs's 32 channel 8 bit wavetable? The nes version is shit tier at best, easily the worst version of this game. I own both and the nes version is garbage. Plus that game is mouse driven, trying to move that chunky pointer around with the dpad is garbage too. I'm not trying to make this an arguement, but thats a bad version of a good game. They even took some of the gore out of it and changed the text. Same as Deja Vu on nes, bad versions of great games.
