Don't go back, it's casualized as fuck now. Adam sold it to viacom, that got rid of all the humor and amateur coding that made it great

I got sucked back in a few years ago. Figured out how to make millions, got all of the map pieces and then obsessively zapped my pets until they all had desirable colors... And then it all became fucking meaningless. Like the moment i finally got a grey pet i was like "YES! What now?" I think i played for a few more days and then i gave every fucking thing away to beggars on the board. All my pets, money, items. It felt good to be done.

>Calls me to the back office during work to talk about stuff and share food frequently

>Goes on and on about how he befriends these little kids and gains there trust as he's doing well in the game

I remember I had a friend who convinced me to play even though it looked like the least appealing thing to me.
I got a Neopet and it ended up starving to death. I never went back. I felt so disgusted and ashamed for letting it die like that.

That man is doing a great service by teaching children never to trust anyone online.

Be glad he is only taking their neodollars and not nude photos of them.

Fuck.

Who does that? Even as a kid I didn't do that to people. Why didn't he just spend that time and effort getting the stuff he wanted himself?

Maybe he just enjoys their company. Maybe he's a lonely 40 year old man.

I just burst out laughing when I read this because I totally thought you and those kids were being raped and I am so relieved.

I don't know, but the guy was pretty weird.
He had a wife, and I think he might have had kids, so he couldn't have been THAT lonely...
I think he just enjoyed doing well in games and didn't care about stepping on a few people to get there.

H-how would you go about raping kids on Neopets? Are kids that stupid to be like "Sure mister, I live at 42 Wallaby Lane, Sydney,Australia!"

Neopets can not die and one of their main things. The worst you could ever do is have them starving and unhappy in which case they would just have a sad face with maybe a tear.

You can no joke pay less then 1000 points to feed them and keep them happy for a month using some kind of inn system and they will be good as new.

>>1304473
This guy must have took it the wrong way or remember it wrong. Maybe he got his memory of a game likeChao Garden and Neopets mixed up or something? There a ton of games where you can lose your pets by ignoring them but on Neopet you honestly can ignore the pet as soon as you obtain him assuming you not going to mess with the arena or whatever.

Kinda missing the point of the site but then again the site itself doesn't really reward you for wasting points on the worthless things. If your goal is to get all of the avatars then you would be better off for it. I'm not even sure if you can remove your main pet in any way once obtained. I could be wrong but I believe you are forced to have one pet with you at all times as some games involve your pet saying or doing something.

I still go on there every December to do the advent calender, and if I remember to use the bank's interest with my autobuyer-earned millions
